Prakash this post is inappropriate please do the decent thing and remove it. It has been reported as such and may well be removed by the web master.

Individual DO members have a good relationship with DAW as they do with a number of 4×4 specialist in the UAE, DO does not promote one over another and the forums are not sales zones, They are there for members to discuss the pro’s and con’s of all types of equipment related to our passion
    :thanks:

:yesss: :yesss: , Seems that he use this board for advertising & to bring up his details in Google search rather than providing benefits to members…

Finding all the stuff is not easy…..
I just come back from a shop in Dragon Mart where you can find:
    – a “red” compressor for 220 dhs (grey ines tend to fail rapidly…. Don’t the image one box)
    – a “orange” 40cm high 2T jack in is black box for 120
    – a magnetic tyre valve remover (reduces the risk to loose your valve in the sand)
    – a simple pen-style tyre pressure gauge
    – tools like socket wrench, etc.
The shop number is EBD-05, Taizhou Yian Trade.

On the opposite side, 4T rated shackles can be found somewhere in EA… A shop close to a corner….

I bought my radio more than a year ago at the place recommended on this forum and I’m very happy with it:
    Motorola GP338plus
At shop BAI-05, Sheng Da Trading.
Say you come from DO and the lady will program the frequencies for you.
The price then was 250 dhs and I believe it hasn’t changed so far.

I bought a huge red flag at Ramy4x4 in Deira and had a custom mount made at Icon in Ras al Khor. Not the cheapest solution but the most elegant, I think.

Snatch strap can be found at Ace in Sheick Zayed (they don’t stock them at Festival City anymore for some reason….)
But it’s better to use a kinetic rope (more leastic and much more durable) and soft shackles; more expensive initially but not on the long run as a snatch starp cannot be used more than 10 times.
Blingmytruck (online store) don’t have any kinetic rope in stock at the moment, so I ordered from Amazon.com…. 200 us$ for a rope and two soft shackles.
I heard that Ramy4x4 has mooring ropes turned into kinetic rope for 180 dhs but that’s all I know about it….

Happy shopping and see you in the sandpit!

    Tyres make a difference!
    :drive:
My car was equipped with Bridgestone Dueler A/T R and they are not great.

If you need to change yours, consider a trip to Sharja to save money!

I bought there 2 of the famous Yokohama Geolander A/T-S 275-70/16 for 450 dhs each. And they surely made a difference in the sand without compromising comfort (which is maybe even better).
For you to understand how cheap it is, just know that I bought 4 of them a few weeks before in Dubai at a discounted price of 550 dhs….. :-/

I bought 5 rims there as well and after a minute ๐Ÿ˜‰ the price was set at 3000 dhs total (so each rim was 420 dhs).
The place is Ardh Alemarath Tyres and is situated on Al Nadha street next to “Formula tyres” that you may enter in the google maps search box. There are many shops there to choose from.

    Happy shopping, again!

has anyone here tried the AOR KINETIC RECOVERY ROPE from Ramy 4X4. ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿ˜• ? It currently retails for apprx AED 350 and is 30ft long, 7/8″ wide, pulling capacity is 28,900 LBS and breaking strength is 38,900 LBS. btw its 30%elastic =p~ =p~

it apparently sounds better than most of the other ropes in this price range and im planing to get 1 soon ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ !

    7/8″ is like 2.22 cm… kinda narrow… it might be (1 7/8″) or (2 7/8″)…
at such a big pulling capacity I doubt it will stretch when pulling less than 5000 lbs cars we drive ๐Ÿ™‚
my bushranger has 20,000 lbs capacity and it doesnt stretch even when I tow F150 or H2’s ๐Ÿ˜€ so it’s harder on the chassis…
but if used carefully (not pulling hard) it can do its job
If budget is not an issue, Bubba Rope is the best nowadays (seen it in action and it really rocks)

I believe this is the rope you are talking about at Ramy….http://www.bubbarope.com/professional-grade-mudders-recovery-rope

It is 7/8 inch by 30 feet with breaking strength of 28,000 pounds or approx 14 tons. This is way too much as Denis highlighted. It will never stretch so you will not get the kinetic benefit that you want.

    Instead go for the Renegade…http://www.bubbarope.com/renegade-professional-recovery-rope

This one is 3/4 inch and has breaking strenght of 19,000 pounds or approx 9 tons. This will be much better for your car and give you the kinetic stretch that you are looking for.

    I use the Viking kinetic…http://www.vikingoffroad.com/3-4-x-30-viking-offroad-recovery-tow-rope/

This rope has the same characteristics as the 3/4 inch Bubba Rope at Ramy. It works great for me and has a very “soft” recoil of my vehicle when I recover someone….or more often the case, when someone recovers me ๐Ÿ˜€

    :thanks: :thanks: Dennis and Matthew.
