    Hi All,

    So I’m a proper newbie and hoping to get out on this weekend’s drive, however just see the equipment list, so need to go shopping! I’ve seen that dragonmart is the place for the walkie talkie , having not been there but having heard they have everything under the sun, is it a fair assumption I can get everything there? Are there any recommendations on the shops there?

    For Walkie Talkie you may refer the thread above..Regarding other stuff, you can get most of the equipments in the Machinery Section itself in Dragon Mart near EB Entrance..

    At ACE you can find a good snatch strap including Shackles and gloves all in a nive bag. You’ll probably need that for your first drive.
    Buy the other stuff at the dragon mart.

    Good morning .
    as cress said , Ace have the Snach strap, with shakel , but buy the 8000 not the 11000 coz the 11000 comes with big chakels and will not fit in most tow points.
    another option is to buy the strap from ace , and shakels from auto plus, coz Ace buy them from them and sell them
    .
    ace sells them for 35 and autoplus sells them for 20 only.
    and dont buy every things in 1 go.
    but plz remember to get a truck net to secure the stuff in ur car, if u think u need it.
    coz things will shift and may fall on u and ur pasengers.

    Where i can find a Flag pole & Suction cups…Searched in the dragon mart, but there is no flag pole without steel blades at the end….They have not heard about suction cups or vacuum cups..

    Hi David,

    For suction cup – try any hardware shop. I know its available at Speedex (Located in the lane right next to Oasis Center on SZR)

    For flagpole – U can buy a basic fishing rod from either Dragon Mart or Carrefour.

    You can buy walkie Talkie from Dargon Mart at the Shop No. BAI – 05 (Front Entrance) – 13 (Back Entrance) in Electronics Section, Shop Name: DUBAISHENGDA TRADING FZCO, Contact: 050-8797266, 04-3687184, Buy Motorolla GP 338+. Ask Chiense lady there and she will program for you all 14 channels used by Dubai Offroaders Group. They will ask for AED 250/- but u say that your from the same group and your friend bought from there and thet will give u for AED 200/-. They even have printout of all channels and frequencies used by us.

    The steel thingy that is on the flag poles you get at those dragonmart ATV shops can easily be removed. you can just slide it off.
    Go to the bathroom supplies section at dragon mart to find the suction cups and then get some hoseclamps from ace to secure the flag pole to the suction cup.

    I went to speedEX and find the 3 items shown below

    Unfortunately Single & Double cup of the model (used by DO’s, Similar to AED 100 model) was out of stock. It is having an open holder so that fishing pole can go inside that, I didn’t buy the blue one (Without any holes) as it require extra clips and other support accessories.. I will try the same one in deira if not i will end up in buying the blue one with strong clips for the pole….
