Hi all,
Just had a quick question about Bushranger Snatch Kit I recently purchased from Ace Hardware. The strap is rated for 8,000Kg and the shackles for 3.25t. The strap is suppose to have a 20% stretch factor as it was written on the box and I remember clearly the instruction manual said after use allow the strap to shrink to normal size.
This is a link I found for bushranger website: http://www.bushranger.com.au/snatch_kit.php
There are two models one for 8tons and another for 11. I have the 8ton one. Although the site doesn’t mention the 20% stretch factor but I know it’s there.I was just wondering if this is any good or not. I’ve used it once to pull out a small 2-door pajero and it worked like a charm.
Cheers
May 31, 2014 at 7:44 am #30305I have an old Bushranger Snatch Kit which includes the Rope & 2 shackles.
I normally use it only when I do not need heavy duty work and have used it a number of times without any incident, but I am not sure of the 20% stretch factor.quote Sash716:Hi all,Just had a quick question about Bushranger Snatch Kit I recently purchased from Ace Hardware. Hey Sasha,
I have the same one with me (8000 LBS), I did not buy the kit, I bought just the rope for I guess about 150-175 and bought 2 4.25ton rated shackles for about 60 AED each. Picked up from same ACE in SZR
