If you guys are planning on eating & DRINKING…it may be better to shift to Fujairah…there are some nice beaches next to the Motel as well as Le Meridien…Al Aqah.
Al Aqah beach is really beautiful…& clean.
There’s some oil spill too…on Fujairah/ Kalba coast.

We will have to avoid this area as well.
Until last week the red tide was not over therefore pl. check before you head out for swimming. The fish and crabs are not suggested to catch n eat during this time. However Kalba is a very nice place to camp and if you guys have your boat then do some boating in the khor at high tide. For bird watching you’ll have to keep the silence get closer otherwise you could only see them flying away ๐ . Pitch your tents on higher ground or away from the khor as during high tide the water comes out. Good luck!
January 14, 2009 at 10:54 am #9309The drive might be more than an hour. Cannot speed too much on the Kalba road due to turns and mountaneous road, although it is a very beautiful drive. There are radars on the road to now. If we are lucky, i might get the aeroplane to do a low fly by :p
