Welcome Elton, been a while since we met up 🙂
hope to see you tomorrow !!
take care n drive safe you all.
After a bit of confusion on Sahmed’s part (got lost on the way to Tawi Nizwa Entry Point), because he stopped for fuel at the last possible moment at the Lahbab pump, the trip started at 0705hrs with Shehzaad leading the way.
After a fairly simple drive over some tracks and a few rutted dunes, we got to Pink Rock where, after a few stops for pictures and a very odd display of synchronised side sloping (unintentional) across the face of Pink Rock, we headed out to the Pink Rock exit.
As a newcomer to the ‘Coffee with Roshan Crew’, Elton in his monster Silverado, showed us how ‘not’ to get crested in an XXL-LWB, as he easily kept up with the pack.
Deciding to turn around towards Big Red, Shehzaad lead us onto some challenging dunes, behind Big Red, where the first of a few stucks/recoveries occured.
The first of the day was Navadv in his Fortuner, beached and recovered by Roshan. This was quickly followed by Ru getting crested and needing a quick tug. Sahmed obliged, but in his excitement over getting to use his gizmos (C/D+R/D Locks), ended up giving Ru a near flying start over the crest.
But before the drive could get back to it’s rhythm, Ru, following Sahmed as car number 3, got beached in the most odd way, with his front bumper embedded in a dune, rear left tyre near completely submerged and front right dangling in mid air. After some deliberation regarding the angle and direction of the tow, Shehzaad, in his SRT500, recovered Ru.
As a takeaway, Shehazaad got to keep the tow rope and shackle as the force of the tug snagged the shackle in the Cherokee’s tow point. It’s unclear whether we will be able to break the bond that shackle has formed with Shehzaad’s Cheekoo.
The 2hr drive ended at 0915hrs at Big Red with some refreshing ‘saada chai’ and the customary omellette paratha sandwhiches.
Was a good drive and nice to be out again in the fresh air. 🙂

Thanks to the wonderful report shan!…Well guys that was not the real game which i intended to offer ….i had to control myself and my chekoo #:-s …he was not in that situation where he can able to overcome those tundra dunes ,was afraid if he looses his temper 😀 …unintentionally a bush track was formed where it made me confused to regain the original silk track after the pink drive 😮 …though it was tricky i managed by the instruction given by roshan…..thanks..I love the team..had real confident and much extra courage for the silk drive..I think the team has to be named as XXXL DuneBoys …Dune>>Crester,Basher and Washer.. .Ru dont forget to inflate your spare tyre. 😀 Well hope you all had a fun drive…..Naveen you are pretty stronger than me,you managed to remove those stucked shakles. Thanks Alexina for being with Roshans Coffee Drive this week.We really appreciate for that early wake up.Thanks to silverado..I loved that black monster upon that red dune..At the end i was a bit eager to have my nakanaka dakoose oyichittaign…Woof mouthwatering breakfast from the restaurent.. :ymparty: :ymparty: :thanks:
