    Day and Date : Friday, the 23rd of January 2015
    Drive Type : Newbie/Fewbie with the possibility of an Intermediate Convoy depending on the total number of registrations and marshal availability.
    Meeting Point : Khatam intersection on underpass 3 on the Sharjah-Kalba(Maleeha) Road.
    Meeting Point Co-Ordinates :
    Lat/Lon hddd.ddddd = N25.16668 E55.82608
    Lat/Lon hddd.mm.mmm = N25 10.001 E55 49.565

    Meeting Time : 14:00Hrs.
    Drive Start: 14:15 Hrs.
    Drive Route: Al Khatam to Al Aweer via Kharn Murrah.
    Drive Terrain: Sand Dunes and Sand Tracks.
    Duration: 3.00 hours approx.

    The option of driving into one of the safari camps in the area after the drive for a chill out time to watch cultural programs and have dinner is also there for members.
    Our founder, Ahmad Pervez or Humayun will organise for us to join a safari camp if there is considerable interest from members. If you are interested, please list down the number of members who will attend and we can then confirm the arrangements.

    Checklist:-
    a) Ensure your 4 x 4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
    b) Carry an auto air compressor with you and ensure it’s in working condition.
    b) Compatible Radio is mandatory
    c) Carry all necessary offroad gears, in good condition.
    d) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).
    e) Please ensure that your vehicle’s Fuel Tank is full

    though I have become a member 2 months back, I haven’t done a drive with Dubai Off roaders. I have done around 10 trips with friends and I also did a full day course with Emirates driving institute. Looking forward to meeting the Dune Stars and learn few tricks from the experts.I need to be back by night so, I can’t join for the camp.

    Hi Offroaders

    The decision to lock this drive at 15:00 hours today has been unlocked now 😀 due to a fantastic line-up of marshals present for this drive. Thank you Marshals for your support :thanks: . Now we are in a position to do 3-4 convoys as well if required :yesss: .

    The option of the safari camp is still there.

    Newbie members, please ensure you have the following basic equipment for the drive :

    1.Tow hooks in front and rear
    2.Flag pole
    3.Radio/Walkie-talkie
    4.Off-Road capability in your car i.e. 4-wheel transfer case
