Dubai Offroaders has taken a new approach towards image uploading. Now you will be able to upload images like you used to, by the click of a button below your message box and those images will be linked to your profile. You will be able to view them in our gallery. Just follow the link in the menu on the left. One now will be able to scroll through the images without closing each image and opening a new one by thumbnail. These images will be linked to your profile as well. And each user will be able to see how many images and what images a member has uploaded. You will now be able to comment on the images too and rate them!
Due to the consideration of the server load, a member will only be able to upload 10 images at one time. And the images will be regularly backed up and deleted from the server to keep the website running fast and smooth.
The main page has been cleaned up a little for fast loading of the website. The recent images link can be found on the left menu.
Happy uploading! ๐

March 3, 2012 at 9:48 am #15982Hamza, Is it possible to add a next and previous buttons when we open a picture to scroll instead of going back to the previous page to see the next picture?
Thanks

It is already there. Look at the right corner of the current image. It shows the image name. Click on that and you shall be taken to the next image.

Sorry, Its not from the image gallery. When we open photos of from the drive topic then we have to go to previous page to open another picture. I am talking about this one.

That functionality was not available in the feature we were using earlier. Making a full integrated gallery has been on my mind for quite some time, hence the new system. Took a lot of time to code, test and implement. Images uploaded before this system was implemented will not show that feature. Also you will notice, we will be on our website at all times. We are not using any external system anymore.
Thanks to Thanseer’s confusion, now text is added as guideline which will guide the members to browse to the next image directly from the view image page.
March 12, 2012 at 6:26 am #16117You can now upload images in bulk by zipping them on your computer and uploading your zipped folder. Only .zip extension is allowed and .rar was giving bugs!
Not more than 20 images in the zip folder, because it puts a huge load on the server. I wish you happy uploading! ๐

Thanks,
Why could you not upload here? What problem did you face?
March 17, 2012 at 8:07 pm #16172I have uploaded 20 pictures and I faced no problem. Due to server load, I have limited upload to 20 images at one time. All you got to do is make a zip archive of your image folder, make sure it does not contain more than 20 images as the gallery will not allow uploading of more than 20 images at one time. And just upload your zip image folder!
