Any suggestions for a fun-filled outing during the upcoming Eid holidays?
How about an overnight Liwa Season opener? :bounce:
leave on 2nd OctoberThursday morning, full day drive…Barbecue & camp overnight…Breakfast then Ghazaal Run…then back to Dubai…on Friday the 3rd October, by Late afternoon.
Any other alternative suggestions are most welcome…
Well Its quite high time that we do build up a grand and good plan for the Eid holidays as well said previously that it will be kindda season opener for the club and the first season opener as well,so please pour in your ideas and suggestions and we shall then fine tune the plan and finalize it at least one week prior to the Eid holidays.
My personal wish is to have maximum number of participations.
i truely want to join for the eid drive but i have to attend a charity thing night 1st october in uk.. as our company sponsering no way i cant go.
i always wanted go liwa if any possibility to go weekend after that i will fly to dubai especialy to join u guys.
will also bring some euros that have been in touch that want to experience our unique hobby.. but meh im selfish lol want u guys all to myself…
i will fade outta the charity thing but its bad form but peeps i really dont wanna miss that drive….im thinking i will send my father instead and book my ticket to dubai… i really fed up of this crap here need a good drive to blow away these sticky cobwebs…
meh perhaps we can even rid ourselves of my sister for a few days lol send her back to uk. lolz now my bad!!!personally id like 2 days at least there. just chilling out and messing around in our cars. learn a few things relax, eat socialise a bit [lol says me] and then leisure drive home slowly. i hate to be rushed. plus i think if we had some family kinda drive easy or literally no risk stuk peeps may camp to enjoy. id be happy to chip in with sponsership from aluline for a really nice day. for rest of us we could perhaps do challenging drive while families relax. i dunno but im so looking forward to it.
i could perhaps borrow my sisters cr500 too lolz i wanna have a blast on that!!! pity i crashed it 1st time she show me lol. but im older N wiser now lol….
lets pls just have fun and go out away from stress and responsibilty and breath cold air in the open desert.quote KAT:i truely want to join for the eid drive but i have to attend a charity thing night 1st october in uk.. as our company sponsering no way i cant go.

Well after a bit of brain storming and discussions with few of the fellows I have decided to post this itenary for the Eid Holidays Liwa drive and camping trip,a fully fun filled family outing event.
Please all participants do bring in your families out of town this Eid!
The trip will start on the second day of eid either Wed or thursday depending on when the Eid is announced.
We shall all meet up at Emarat gas station at jebl Ali (the big one) 10.00am sharp.
We shall drive till white sands and deflate and start the first dayโs drive which shall last around 4 to 5 hours.
We shall come out on tarmac maximum by 5.30 pm near Hameem fuel station. We will refuel and refill the supplies.
We would enter desert again and choose a nice camp site and camp for the night there.
Day 2 we shall wrap up the camp site by 8.00 am and start off the day 2 drive max by 9.00 am.
We shall try to finish the route by 2.00 pm and if not we will cut short and be out on road by that time in order to be back home by 5.30 pm day 2.
We shall be covering around 950 kms in all in these two days.
Please give your opinions and confirmations.
A final detailed plan will follow by 26th of sept, but all participating shall register for this event before that date.
The drive shall be intermediate to difficult in some areas but over all it will be a fairly an intermediate drive.
Families and Children will have a chance to enjoy watching Ghazals running around in the wild and to visit the world famous car museum.
September 21, 2008 at 5:21 am #7451i will be confirming (or not) on the last minute….friends of mine are planning to book a resort….or should i say any resort….so if that happens then i won’t be making it…
