quote Sahmed:Hi Gaurav,
What are the arrangements for Friday prayers?
Do we end before then or take a prayer break enroute?Cheers!
Inshallah, we can end before that, it depends on the progress.
Else ill draft an early exit for praying ppl.
If thats not possible then we will take a prayer break enroute.
quote Sahmed:Hi Gaurav,Not to be a party pooper here, but a prayer break enroute would need to be at a mosque… most of the big ones hold friday congregations.
Cheers!

Offroading is an adventourous and uncertain sport. I cant guarantee anything other than just planning as sound as i can. See u on friday inshallah.
Sahmed : I was not at all offended, while considering u complete newbie (if u r) i was making u aware of offroading situations.
Sometime we go for 3 hrs, and come back by 7hrs. No one knows.
But yes being organising a newbie trip i def draft early exit for muslim friends so that you can attend ur prayer.
Regarding ur Pajero: I never diff or discriminate on cars, club, color or sex. I only rate driver. And im sure in this club u wont find any racism for pajero after all its just a car. 😉

Recovery Ethics
Once you see somebody stuck or struggling, dont go near him and harass him in telling him wht needs to be done. Let him try first and if he ask then help him. I believe everybody should given a fair chance of trying his skills, as after all by trying only we learn. There is no fun in pulling out each and every stuck whereas half of them can be avoided.
Which Side: front of back
First thing if car is crested on blade then analyze the easy recover side (from front or back). Rem majorly all car weighs heavy on front (LC, patrol, FJ, Pathfinder, Xterra, Prado, Jeeps etc) except few (discovery, Armada, Denali etc). So if more than 1/3 of the car has crossed the crest then its better and easy u pull from front than back. As more easy and gentle the pull is, more better it is for both the cars.
If car is stuck on flat, then its always better to recover from back instead going in front. As it may be possible the car got stuck coz of very soft sand or quick sand in front. So its better if you also stay at back and recover from back and then choose alternative path.
Towing or Pulling ethics
Car A stuck and asked for Car B to help in a tug. Now both the cars have to follow this minimal responsibility towards each other and how to coordinate in that situation. After choosing the place to recover car B position himself to recover car A. Now after attaching a tow rope its both the driver responsibility to remove any bystander watching the Titanic rescuing as far as the radius of tow rope goes. As sometime tow rope breaks, tow hooks come out, and metal shackle breaks resulting in ultra fast snatching of tow rope in one side and that can hit anybody around even the cars. No need to become a Keanu Reaves to dodge recovery tow rope attached with metal shackle at one end travelling at lighting speed towards u, It’s much better to stay as far as possible and be safe inside ur car.
Now once the area is clean, both drivers are ready, car are attached with tow rope. There is the most imp part which i fail to see in recovering is syncronisation. Three honks systems. After everything is ready to pull, Car A supposed to honk once to say im ready, Then Car B supposed to honk once that im ready too, Then Car A honk again for third and last time saying: go ahead, and then only car B supposed to pull.
After the pulling starts car A decides that how much he needs to be pulled back, and once he honk car B should stop. Reason here, is very simple as Car A got stuck in that terrain so he knows that till which point he is safe to roll back or proceed.
If pulling from crest its better you pull till flat, as stopping on slope with tow rope attached involves lot of effort in coming out, removing, and packing and hence waste more time, whereas anyways both cars has to come down to climb again.
For recovery purpose both cars need not to be aligned in one line to recover. You can give a slight pull sideways too and drag the car slowly to unstuck it. While doing sideways recovery only thing to rem is tow rope need not to touch the bumper of any car, and u should give slow pulls instead of one hard pull.
I hope to see you guys using this basic ethics on the upcoming trips and teach ppl abt the same for everyone’s safety.
