The second would be an early morning drive back down into Khasab and a dhow cruise (Dhs250 per person), where we will see dolphins and snorkel around Telegraph Island. Dhow trip has to be booked for an access to Musandam and is mandatory.DHOW CRUISE is half day / 6 Hours program, from 10:30am to 04:30pm approx. and costs AED 250 per person.
Enjoy an unforgettable day cruising along the “Fjords of Musandam” on board a traditionally decorated Omani Dhow, where you can sit comfortably on cushions and carpets while feasting your eyes on the striking scenery. A Dhow trip to the fjords offers an insight into its fantastic landscape. During the Dhow cruise you can cruise into the Straits of Hormuz and discover different villages. The Dhow is anchored at the famous Telegraph Island, where you can swim and snorkel in the clear waters,(Snorkeling gears & life jackets will be provided) there is also the possibility to see dolphins during on the way. Refreshments, soft drinks and mineral water will be served on board and is included in the cost. May 10, 2014 at 4:29 am #30090We need to make the reservations with the Dhow Cruise company by Wednesday for them to be able to complete the visa formalities. The Omani border office has to be notified of our reservations otherwise they would refuse to issue the visas upon arrival.
I”m very surprised that members are not hurrying to register. Mussandam drive is one of the best drives you can have in this region after crossing the border with the view of the sea on one side and the wadis on the other side.
Apart from the dolphins, snorkelling etc, Khor Najd is a beautiful place to visit. I hope the attached pics will convey more than my words.
