quote bkumar:I will be bringing a special cake :ymparty: for the occasion and would like to know the number of total people joining the trip during the course of the week (drivers + passengers)…Hi BKumar, let me endeavour to make it easy for you…this is based on my observation & general passenger(s) pattern of the registered drivers…let’s jus say this is my supposal ๐ ๐ :))
Dear All – please feel free to tweak as needed ๐1. Ahmad Pervez + 2
2. BKumar + ?
3. Firoz + 3
4. Ali + ?
5. Duncan
6. Norbert + 1
7. Denis
8. Shauna + 3
9. Desert Ranger + ?
10. Razik + 1Thank you Razik for the list… Much appreciated… :thanks:
Based on the number of registered members, i have ordered for 30 pieces today morning… I think this should be enough based on your detailed list… But if more is required, i can always amend the order…
Looking forward to meeting you all…

quote JustDen:Hi
I will have Eisa this time with me :ymparty:
Wouldnt the cake melt till reaching the meeting point? :-ssYou and Eisa are welcome…
Didn’t really thought about this (melting…) ๐ ๐ ๐
Let us hope it doesn’t… I will keep my AC full blown (that may not have much effect though!!!)…
BTW, how much time it will take to reach the meeting point from Bur Dubai with average speed of 100 to 120 kmph…

Well, if you take Oud Metha Rd. -> Al Ain Rd (E66) then E611(old Bypass Rd) and then E102 or (Kalba Rd) you might need 60-70 mins. This is the shortest and fastest route from Bur Dubai imho. From Silicon Oasis it’s ~45 mins.
By the way, when I was transporting a cake, I was putting it on the floor behind driver’s seat and arrange A/C to blow to feet. ๐quote JustDen:Well, if you take Oud Metha Rd. -> Al Ain Rd (E66) then E611(old Bypass Rd) and then E102 or (Kalba Rd) you might need 60-70 mins. Rest is exactly as Denis suggested.
