One more thing, I have done 5 drives with dubaioffroaders but my profile shows 0. Who is in charge of correcting or adding the drives?

    Hamid,

The meeting point is Al Badayer shops. Sorry i forgot to post the coordinates.

As explained to you, you drive about 1 km from TAwi Nazwa shops towards Hatta and you will pass a flyover.

Immediately after flyover, you can see buggies rental on the right hand side. Next to that is badayer shops.

Pls do call me for any more clarifications..

Sorry guys, I totally forgot to update the report:

An excellent drive with 7 cars in total. Humayun leading the drive and myself at the sweep….with Sanjay handling the centre postion with gr8 responsibility….

The drive plan – Badayer to Iftar bowl….

It was a Fewbee ++ drive and Humayun with his expert driving skills led the convoy to an intermediate level driving….Initially few of the drivers were finding it a bit tough to dance around the soft tricky dunes of Badayer….Reaching Iftar bowl would take max 30 minutes, so the lead decided to take it around the place allowing the drivers to test their driving skills…

Nice to see Nikki for the frist time without Brian next to her 😀 ….She was placed as the third car in the convoy and she was very eager to cross every dune which came across…A few stucks over the crest but its all learning…

Doctor did a fantastic job in maintaining the pace after the convoy position was changed since he couldnt sight the car in front certain times…. :-BD

An applause for Sanjay for maintaining the momentum between the convoy and also available to reach at every place where there was a stuck …Gr8 job buddy… :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

Rein was at his best following the lead car in the 2nd position guiding the cars behind him to follow him with ease..

It had been a hard time for every driver to experience their driving skill to cross every bowl and high dunes…. At some times Gabriel used to get lost and then brought back to the convoy by the sweep….

We were about to reach the destination – Iftar bowl, but all of sudden the lead’s car gave up and it was not starting…we tried a couple of attempts but in vain…So we decided that let us all get the other cars out safely and then think about a solution to retrieve Humayu’n’s car…

Humayun took the driver position in Nikki’s FJ and led us all to badayar shops where everyone inflated and left back home… It was nice to see our members concern for Humayun and were assured that we will take care of him…

Myself and Humayun called a recovery guy and took his help to pull the car from the bowl….but even after repeated tries and efforts, it could’nt come out….

Some of our old members also joined us to help him out with Saif also reaching the point at dark…. It was already 9.30 p.m and it was impossible to rescue the car, so we all decided to leave the car at the same place and try again the next morning.

Thanks to Thanseer to go there to the spot the next day and with the help of a mechanic they replaced some parts and got the vehicle out of the desert successfully… :ymhug:

Overall the drive was absolutely wonderful except the last part which we couldnt help…..but im sure everyone enjoyed their best…

Special thanks to Humayun for the excellent lead and Sanjay for the all the work done in the centre… :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

See you all for another exiciting drive….till then drive safe…

    Cheers

Thanks to Ganesh for a wonderful report. It would have been tough to keep the convoy rolling without Ganesh. Thanks for the support :thanks: :thanks:

Secondly highly appreciate the support of our Brigadier Saif Sultan Khan who was in a family function and came all the way to Iftar Bowl alone for support of recovering my car.

Though DO Team has split earlier due to whatever reason may be yet they proved that it is Just for Fun and Ali, Tushar, Krishnan, Rahul, Satwinder came to the spot when they heard my car struck in bowl. Due to some family commitment Ali/Krishnan/Satwinder left early by 8pm. Thanks to them and special thanks to Tushar/Rahul who stayed till 10.00pm. We tried by all means but at the end nothing was workable. By the time i reached home it was 12.30am saturday and Brigadier Thanseer called me understand the problem of the car.

On Saturday again the first call or may be the wake up call for me would say from Brigadier Thanseer. He enquired about my plan of action and i had informed him that we are planning for recovery of the car with the support of 3 or 4 winches from Emirates Offroaders / Dubai Offroaders and the plan is to reach the bowl by 11.30am. As it was saturday and due to prior commitments we could not gather as planned till 12pm and in between Thanseer called me to check the situation and informed me to pick up the mechanic to see the real problem prior to looking for options as it was saturday. He was 100% confident that it may be a trivial issue and wanted to check the car personnally prior to going for expensive options. With this sentence from him, i could understand the Technical knowledge of him. So myself with my car mechanic and Thanseer assembled at 3pm in Badayar shops and went to see the car. The car mechanic checked for sometime and then identified that it was a trivial delco rotor assembly switch which got broken and vehicle stopped due to non supply of power.

We then came to tarmac and when we were about to go for buying the spare part in Madam Round about Thanseer received a call from his wife that their car met with an accident and driver door got damaged little bit. Despite this situation BRIGADIER Thanseer accompanied us to Madam Round about looking for spare part, got the spare part for 50 dirhams, went inside bowl again, fixed the car and drove out of the bowl. Million Thanks to Thanseer for his support, guidance and in between calls to check that we had no issues driving on road.. :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks:

At the end all my stress got relieved when i drove my car 2 or 3 rounds in Bowl and it was very relaxing for me. Once again Thanks to Ganesh, Saif, Ali, tushar, krishnan, Rahul, Satwinder and special Thanks to Thanseer. It would have been impossible without your support.
