or where the coordinates point to exactly?
The co-ordinates are of a small R/A South of and adjacent to the interchange on the opposite side of the Petrol pump on E88…The drive is North bound though.
In simple language the meeting point is to the right of the 1st interchange AFTER Dubai Bypass Road on the Sharjah Dhaid Highway.

Ahmed Bhai, I am not sure whether the meeting point is at the 1st interchange.
I believe the meeting point is to the right of of 3rd bridge after Dubai bypass road on the Sharjah – Dhaid highway.May 1, 2012 at 12:08 pm #16888quote robinsonleiva:It is the third according to the coordinates. When we see the Emarat Petrol Pump on the left, we should take the exit to the right and meet at the roundabout. Is that correct Ahmed?I guess that should be correct…I actually just took the co-ordinates off Google Earth and the free version of Google Earth which is dated a couple of years back shows only one bridge after Dubai By pass Road.
I am sure of the co-ordinates though…and all of you should be navigating only with co-ordinates…we are off-roaders after all…are we not?

May 4, 2012 at 7:15 am #16905The drive is on schedule, as announced.
We will meet at the confirmed assembly as already announced.A good & long drive….becoz of the late sunset, we got a pretty long enough time to drive in the desert….everyone gathered at the meeting point as announced…deflated the tyres….and then our Lead Marshal, Mr.Ahmed briefed us about the drive….nice to see a couple of old members….at first Mr. Parvez thought of dividing the convoy into two as we had 18 cars in total…but then it was decided we will proceed it with one convoy and then we can see if we need to divide…Mr. Ahmed leading the drive, Satvinder as the rescue marshal and G Kumar as the sweep :ymapplause: :ymapplause: ….everyone was extremely good and followed just one convoy till the end…this was an interesting different drive….no big dunes as such, but everyone had to tackle with the bushes and drive through it…..beautiful steep slopes….we didnt have any major stuck ups apart from a couple of attempts to climb some tall dunes…..Jayesh had some issues with his front bumper flap touching his tyre….but as we know Sattu Paaji is always well equipped with all his tools ๐ , he managed to rectify the problem and then we proceeded twds the road….Towards the end we had a long strip of tracks to follow….at times we had camels in our tracks leading us…..and these tracks reminded me of this year Gulf News Fun Drive – Liwa tracks……we touched the road by 7.15 p.m. inflated our tyres and left back home. Overall a very good drive….pleasant climate in the evening…
:thanks: a ton Mr. Ahmed for a wonderful drive and lead….I have many pictures to upload….really good ones….wl post it soon….see you all for the next :drive: cheers…. ๐ -
