April 20, 2012 at 7:30 am #16723the Drive :drive: was awesooooooooooome, we never felt we were “NEW BEEs” the trail was intermediate kinda, thanks to our own Salim Bhai :thanks: …ek dum zakas!! kindly post pix’s plz
What an excellent morning drive….everyone met at the Tawi Nizwa shops as mentioned by 7am. I was extremely happy to see such a huge family of our Dubai Offroaders Club…As per the new convoy system, we all gathered together with their respective lead marshals….Left to the deflation point where every team were given the briefing by their lead…Ali was for intermediate group with Tushar, Hamza & Faateh…..Sam led the few bees with Satvinder, Ahmed Parvez….and Salim Khan led the new bees with Khalil…..It was very nice to see all the three groups having their own convoy to exprerience the different levels of driving skills…..As I was a part of the intermediate group, Ali was absolutely fantastic in leading the convoy of total 6 cars….taking through the awesome tall and tricky dunes….It was a new area to tackle and everyone did a fab job…. :thanks: a ton Ali for giving us this new experience…All the three groups met at 2 points and then again proceeded twds their respective tracks and dunes….Towards the end, Ali gave us a brilliant task of reaching a particular dune on our own to test the navigating skills of each driver….how to aproach a dune and cross it and reach the said point testing ur own skills….The idea was absolutely gr8 Ali. :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause: …everything went off well except the issue of my deflated tyres of my pajero towards the end…. :thanks: to the entire team who helped me to come out of this….special thanks to Humayun, Faateh & Tushar who helped in getting the tyre replaced and then we touched the road at 10.30 am……In all the drive was excellent, the momentum of all the participants was awesome….we actually covered a whole lot of area in 3 hours….
Ali the gr8…. :thanks: buddy for such an awesome lead……see you all for the next drive and these morning drives should continue…..defenitely……I have uploaded some pics…..Tushar, i need to see ur professional pics too. ๐ …
It was gr8 pleasure to meet our webmasters Hamza and Faateh. ๐
The other two groups….please put in your experience and pics too……Cheers :drive:
April 20, 2012 at 9:20 am #16726It was a gr8 intermediate morning drive, led very well by Ali. Special thanks to my codriver Faateh. The beauty of the desert in the morning was unparalled. :thanks:
I just love morning drives! The route Tawi Nazwa – Pink Rock – Big Red was covered in a few hours indicating the smooth pace of the drive and the drivers ability to overcome the long sandy dunes. I really like the format of splitting up the convoys by levels -this was of course possible given the great support and attendance on the marshal team! It was just fun once more -thanks for yet another great drive!
