Just wanted to remind everyone of the importance of staying a safe distance from the car in front. On Friday during the drive, my stationary car was clipped by another car that came from behind and couldn’t stop, drifting into the front of my car causing damage to be front steering and drive train as well as my bumper and lights.

The damage has resulted in my car having to be towed from Al Fayah and is waiting repairs in Toyota and an insurance claim. This means that I will be without a car for at least a week causing me a great deal of inconvenience.

I appreciate that accidents can happen but I hope that incidences like this will remind all members including the marshals of the importance of following the rules and to ensure that we all go about the drives as safely as possible.

    Many thanks
