quote Alex:quote peterbhorne:Weather forecast is looking, er, very British!
I checked in Liwa area and its looks like we have mid cloudy weather, looks perfect!
Question to marshals who organise this trip, would be good to have a meeting point, camping coordinates and route with most comfortable exits for second day!
Thanks
Alexyes, the route is planned in that fashion !!
March 27, 2017 at 7:01 am #38544It was really funny trip and deserve the name.
Starting with unexpected weather and condition was something new to try.
Finally the sun has shined at around 10.30 am.
We had many stops because some water leaking in one of the cars.
Also other stops because some cars got stuck one after the other in a very funny scenario.
We stop for lunch and tested diverse kind of food
– Local thin bread with margarine and sugar
– Indian parata
– Spanish omelette
– Little Russian bagels
We bit the sand dunes again and it was dry this time and ready to be bashed till we reached our site camp.
The fun continued at the camp with
– the crazy jumps from top of the dunes.
– The funny dancing around the camp fire.
– Some live violin music playing by our Spanish musician guest Dario Sosa.
The drama continued even in the next morning with a scorpion bite one of us.
The scorpion was hiding under the tent and bitten the guy while he was packing.
So, @Ajay took the needed decision by aiming the hospital and not take any chance of risk.
The guy received the needed medical care and he is perfect. It was really good funny, relaxing and smooth trip and good time to spend there.
Thanks to @Ajay for organizing and leading and thanks for all the members joined and make it funny.Very apt description of the trip Shamel. The purpose of the trip was to have fun and we had plenty of it and the end result was “Fun with Fantastic people”
Just an update on the scorpion bite victim. Although the he showed no signs of any serious poisoning, we took him to the hospital along with the Scorpio ๐ that bit him, since we didn’t want to take any chances. That turned out to be a good decision because the doctors felt that he needed anti venom and the same was administered to him.
Thanks to all who participated and look forward to have you on the DO trips more often.
