I have the Nuvi 610 but when we go off road, i can see that the maps just show a white terrain. Is this because the map installed is city navigator. Do we get to buy another one for off road?
The Garmin Nuvi series is essentially designed for City use, so is the City-Navigator, as is obvious from the name.
That does not really hurt the functionality much…since as is…there is no map to cover the areas we frequent.
The only issue with Nuvi 610 is that you may not be able to upload/ download tracks, but even then you can save a number of waypoints & use them as reference.
