    Hi Guys,

Quick question. I’m a newbie and have had a couple of trips with you guys (with many more planned) however I was wondering if anybody could recommend a place I can go alone with my family just to put the BBQ on and relax. My concern is getting stuck obviously so just looking for areas to pitch up, build a fire, sit around then come home.
As close to Dubai as possible would be great.

    Thanks guys

    John

I would recommend u to go to this place
    24.80693 55.40785

But do not go alone to dune bashing, 90% it will end up as a stuck
Keep your car next to dunes at sabkha, make a picnic around and dont forget to take all garbage back 🙂
    leave only footmarks :thanks:
    Good luck!

This area is popular with casual campers and decent BBQ’ers

You can take either left or right side of the road. Sand is soft, make sure you deflate if you’re going inside the desert. Try to stay on the track road.

Yea, i was looking for a spot myself the otherday. Ended up somewhere on hatta road. The place was alright but i can always use a spot with perhaps people around and ofcourse a little into the desert.
