GRAND IFTAR 2017 – 9th JUNE

    Dear DO Members,

    On behalf of Dubai Offroader family, I would like to invite all members With Family and Friends (regardless religion), to join us in this annual event GRAND IFTAR 2017, where all the off-road community are going to g[/img][/img]et together in this holy month of Ramadan.

    Please carry food/ Snacks/ Drinks for self and companions and 20% to shear.
    This drive is for all members and their families.

    Day and date: Friday 9th of June 2017
    Drive Type: ONE convoy

    Meeting Point: Before Al Rawdah Mosque in Tawi Ghadaya
    Google maps users (just copy and paste in Google maps): 24.915665,55.738106
    GPS users:N24° 54’56.7″ E55° 44’14.9″

    Meeting Time: 16:30 (04:30 PM)
    Drive Start: 17:00 (05:00 Pm)
    Drive End: 21:00 (09:00 Pm)

    Drive Route: tracks, simple with some dunes to reach iftaar bowl
    Drive Terrain: Sand

    Checklist:
    a) Keep your emergency contact info at vehicle dashboard.
    b) Carry air compressor with you and ensure it’s in working condition.
    c) Ensure your 4×4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
    d) Compatible Radio is a must.
    e) Carry all necessary off-road gear / recovery equipment in good working condition.
    f) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).

    I will try my best to see you and the guys at Iftar bowl if I can get myself out of another work Iftar obligation, but in any case I will not be able to drive with the convoy.

    Hello Baher,
    Thanks for organising this IFTAR trip.
    I wonder if it is OK to do BBQ? Shall we carry fire wood or it is not appropriate?
    Looking forward for this event.

    Pleas note: the meeting point have been slightly changed In the main post.
    It will be the same entrance of tawi Ghadaya and the meeting is after the army base in the right side.
    If you couldn’t find it give us a call.
