Dear Members,
We are happy to invite all members (regardless religion), to join us in this annual event GRAND IFTAR 2014, where all the off-road community are going to get together in this holy month of Ramadan.
Please feel free to join us with your family and friends & don’t forget to bring with you homemade food for you & a little to share with others. Do not bring excessive amount of food or drinks, coz all will bring.
Day and date : Friday, the 11th of July ‘2014
Drive Type : Learner’s + Intermediate Drive , 2/3 separate Convoys, depending on the registrations.Meeting Point : Al Badayer Shops.
Meeting Time : 16:45Hrs.
Drive Start: 17:00 Hrs.
Drive Route: Iftaar and Maghrib prayers at Iftar Bowl.[map]24.95491,55.71418(badayer shops)[/map]
Drive Terrain: soft & tricky dunes
Duration: 2.00-2.30 hours approx.
Checklist:-
a) Ensure your 4 x 4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
b) Carry an auto air compressor with you and ensure it’s in working condition.
b) Compatible Radio is mandatory
c) Carry all necessary offroad gears, in good condition.
d) Carry enough Food/ Water / Refreshments / re-hydration drinks for Iftaar for self & co-passenger(s).
e) Please ensure that your vehicle’s Fuel Tank is fullPlease read the following and register for the drive:-

This is going to be a grand event with min 200 to 400 cars turn around every year. So come guys…
There will be a large number of cars with a lot of “overenthusiastic” (Read Dangerous) Drivers in the area today.
Please tune your Walkie Talkie Radios to Channel 7 (Frequency 462.7125), once you reach the meeting point, this will help our group to get together and to co-ordinate the drive in a safe orderly manner.

Can you also please give the exact GPS / Google coordinates to avoid any confusion?
The correct co-ordinates have been provided by Humay’oon, in the original/ first post.
We will meet up in the sand just after going between the shops and on to the sand.
The turn is just before Al Sakhi Restaurant, at the Badayer shops where we often inflate after the drives.
Great :drive: yesterday , we all enjoyed it and the Iftar Party. 🙂 🙂
Thanks a lot to our leaders for helping us to tackle new challenges always. I have completed 10 :drive: with DO and I am very happy in what I learned in past few months. I am quite sure that I will learn more techniques in coming weeks 😀 😀 with the help of our experienced marshals :ymapplause:
