Day and date: 27 and 28th January
Drive Type: Hardcore sand dunes
Meeting Point: Adnoc Radoum

Drive Start: 9.45am
Drive End: 5pm next day
Duration: 2 days
Drive Route: Arada to Hameem
Drive Terrain: Serious driving only through the most difficult route convoy will allowChecklist:
a) Keep your emergency contact info at vehicle dashboard.
b) Carry air compressor with you and ensure it’s in working condition.
c) Ensure your 4×4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
d) Compatible Radio is a must.
e) Carry all necessary off-road gear / recovery equipment in good working condition.
f) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).Please note the early meeting time on the Friday at 4am. We will drive to start point, fuel up and set off. We will only camp for 1 night. All convoys will rendezvous at the same camp site coordinates. We aim to have multiple convoys depending on Marshall availability. This post will change as we near the time with requirements and equipment needed. There will be a break for lunch otherwise we are driving. Prayer times will not be able to be catered for. Apologies.

Friday drive route to destination is E11 thru AD & then E45 down to thru MADINAT Zayed then right to Arada

Hey All,
Getting amped for this trip.
I am planning to drive back to Dubai from Hameem along the Saudi border then via Um Al Zamool & Al Quoaa, into Al Ain, etc. I will drive the tarmac with no planned offroad (famous last words 😉 ) . I would like to take this route to simply see what the landscape is like out there and venture to a UAE corner that I have not been to before. It will add approx 2 hours and 200Km to the trip home. If anyone would like to join me just let me know :ymhug:

Matt it will be dark just to let you know, unless you are planning to camp another night in Himeen.

True Duncan. I guess it will really only make sense if we finish around 3 or 4. If not then I would just plan to return the normal way.
