1. Ahmed Pervez
2. Khalil
3. Satwinder
4. G KumarAlready Ahmed Bhai and Khalil addressed this drive in the post for Fewbie to Intermediate… just adding a little more description since it was a wonderful drive, good experience and lot of fun. :-BD :-BD :-BD
The convoy was of 4 cars – Khalil + Ahmed Bhai, Humayun, Ashok and myself. We joined Ahmed Bhai and Khalil at their previous day’s night camp by around 7.40am. We were late by 40 minutes to reach the camp site due to coordinate issues ๐ . We had to call Ahmed Bhai for the exact coordinates, which was perfect to reach the spot ๐ .
We started moving by 8.00am with Khalil + Ahmed Bhai in the lead followed by Humayun, Ashok and I took the sweeper position. It was a fast paced drive with lengthy sand tracks and road sections to relax a bit after tacking the tricky soft dunes.
Khalil was amazing in the lead with the expert advice of Ahmed Bhai with him :ymapplause: He had confirmed once again that it is never easy to follow the track laid by a Wrangler in heavy vehicles. Thereby the tracks were an extra tricky for us to tackle and I hope we all did a good job by maintaining the pace and no mishaps. :ymapplause:
Ashok had to leave the convoy on half way due to personal commitments and we continued the journey in a convoy of 3 cars to the tall red dunes of Sweihan. This stretch was really a skill refreshing drive :yesss: . It required the right combination of approach + momentum + vehicle balance + power to move at ease.
Again, it was a wonderful morning drive and the post rain climate was also too good. We all really enjoyed the drive. There were several struck ups to make the towrope also to be a part of this drive from Humayun, Ashok and once from the lead marshall as well ๐
We finally hit the tarmac by 12.15pm at Alain โ Abu Dhabi highway, proceeded to Sweihan petrol station, inflated and headed home.
Thank you very much khalil for the excellent lead :thanks: :ymapplause: and special thanks to Ahmed Bhai for giving us a chance to experience this challenging track ^:)^ .
Looking forward for many such technical drives in future. Thank you all once again for the good company and participation. :thanks: :drive:
I will upload few pictures here with the post. Expecting the pictures from Khalil!!!
