TRIP REPORT.
We left Emarat Petrol Pump at around 10:30 with me and Ahmed bhai being the last one to come (oooppppssss, Come on yaar it is allowed to come late once in a blue moon)After We start rolling I saw in my rear view mirror a flood of SUV’s coming behind me, at this point I realize that this is a Big Convoy man, and my worries starts, as How to leas this Big Convoy in an area like Al Faqa.
There were totall of 13 cars, couple of our friends Joined from Emarat 4×4 as well. However proved that they were seasoned drivers and we did not face any difficulty other than couple of Pop outs and few stucks,(I know I Know there shouldn’t be any, but we should give some concession and allow these for this Kind of terrain.)
Anyways we started deflating at around 11:15 then a small briefing and were ready to roll around 11.30.
In the beginning we head towards the small very technical dunes, Just to warm up the guys and their cars. I was at Lead, Fateh in his LC was at 2nd and Naveen and Anil bhai were at tail, making sure that no one is left behind. And As usual Naveed bhai, Our Sheriff was cruising here and there and keeping a Hawk eye on the Convoy with Ahmed bhai as Navigator.
Gradually from Small dunes we shifted our noses towards some medium dunes, as by now I was confident that we have a good bunch of drivers as by this time no one had got any stuck, despite my delebrate tries to got atleast one car stuck in the narrow alleys of small and winding dunes. But all were Cheetahs.
Then we head towards the Big Dunes and then started the usual Pop Outs and Stucks which were dealt professionally by MEO team. This is time where the real fun starts, we had the maximum side slopping any one can do in a trip we were just doing zigzag on both our left and Right sides.
We has intermittent brakes during trip and around 4 we decided that now have all the fun and its time to head back to home, from there we head straight back to tarmac crossing few sabkhas, and again my New Bumber became a Martyr, :(( :(( :(( :(( :((
Just on Thursday I make the insurance and on Friday this happened, and the pity is, it didn’t happened on the huge dune or difficult train, it happens when we were few hundred meter away from the tarmac and the culprit was a very small ridge. (as they say in URDU “Kashti meri Doobi waheen aker, Jahan Pani Kam tha, Sorry Cant translate)So as every good things ultimately comes to and End, the trip finished, every ones face was shouting that they enjoyed it atmost.
It time to say Good by from Reporting Desk, till next trip
Seee yaaaa
Adios Amigos.
