Offroading: Newbie.
I happened to stumble upon this wonderful forum while searching for reviews on cars I am considering to buy. This will be my first car in UAE. I have been driving for over a decade in India and have drove & rode to some of the toughest terrains in India. Never had a chance to hit the desert on wheels.
Looking forward to valuable advises, wisdom and experiences of all the seasoned off-roaders here. And hope to join with my own wheels very soon.Regards
SJHello All,
I just signed up to join your Group!
I’m looking forward to joining you on some slippery sand outings.I used to off road quite a bit a few years ago with UAEoffroaders and Almost4x4 but moved to Singapore for a while.
I got myself a new jeep and am looking forward to some fun!Hope to meet you all soon – thanks paul
Hi all!
Name: Phil Seaton
Vehicle: Wrangler Sport 2015, no mods, yet…..apart from AT tires.
Occupation: IT Manager
Offroading: I was once a country dweller, tractors, ride on mowers and BMXing are as close to proper offroading as I ever got! However, I used to have a Mahindra Indian Brave, but that spent most of its time “off the road” rather than “offroad” 🙁I’m here to join in on some trips and meet a community of like minded people. I have literally JUST bought my first Jeep and am hoping for lots of advise from you lovely experienced people!
Interested in Kayaking, exploring, camping and learning offroading! I am from the UK, but don’t hold that against me.

Just 8 drives with your group but has been great. Before little desert experience but offroad since i was 15. 29 years ago. My dad hated me when as a teen called for tools to dig out! Past vehicles were mostly ford f250, f350, nissan, fat wheel motorcycle n several trail motorcycles…. even had a 1958 chevy truck that took offroad…
Desert driving is definitely different, but so far really easy……well since fixed the cooling n transmisission issues with my tj. Great now but new 4×4 soon. Trying to decide between jeep rubicon or ford fx4. Wld love raptor but cost n wide wheel tracks r an issue. (Later will ship n use for mud m mountains)
Current car is 2005 jeep tj with rebuilt n upped auto. (Cant believe bought auto but wife said wld drive). Lifted and A few mods not worth mentioning.
