Hi MJ, OK so when ypu log on to DO go to forums Learner trips, At the top of this page you will a !warning triangle in yellow and 2 active links which say 1. Rules Of The Trip
& 2. Equipments that one needs to carry for offroadingPlease read both:
On the equipment side, with the list you absolutely require:1. tire gauge
2. tire air valve remover
3. tow belt minimum 6 ton x 6mtr
4. h/d shackle 2 pic6. one must know the tow points of their cars YOU MUST KNOW THIS
7. walky talky
Item 1 any make digital or standard will do
Item 2 to make your life easier you can buy an ezdeflator (Ramy/Mebar/ ARB/Amazon), but you will still need the valve remover
Item 3 we recommend a kinetic line which can be organised through DO Marshall Saif, follow post’s headed ‘Viking rope’
Item 4 make sure they are rated 3+ton shackles or get a soft shackle
ITEM 7, THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT BIT OF KIT TO BUY FIRST, AS IT COULD WELL BE YOUR LIFELINE TO HELP. Please follow the post on Radio and GPS however the best thing to do is go to Dragon Mart and go and see our preferred shop, info belowMotorola Hand sets are available in the below shop and speak to the small chinese lady tell her you are from Dubai Offroaders and she will set the below frequencies of our group for you. She has the list but print it out and take it with you just in case. While you are there get a 12v charger plug to allow you to recharge the radio from the car cigar lighter (20aed)
