    Dear DO’ers,

Good trip, all in all… everyone arrived on time ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ , and the group was split into 3 convoys, as we had quite an impressive turn out!

Lead Firoz and Saif at Sweep with the Newbies, Duncan and myself with the Fewbies, and the erstwhile Brian and Ruslan (Not too sure, apologies if incorrect… #-o) for the Intermediates.

Duncan carved out a nice track through the short and curving dunes of Al Faqaa… our lead steered clear of crest cuttings and ridge riding due to the somewhat firm nature of the sand at the time, not wanting to stress the drivers out too much :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause: .

We did however indulge in a fair amount of side sloping and a few very nice descents. No major hiccups to report, a couple of second attempts, one recovery and one pop out not really worth mentioning. Everyone drove exceptionally well, culminating with a 20 minute playtime at a very nice and largish dune slope, while I went to gossip with the intermediate group who were taking a break nearby while trying to recover from popout(s) ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰ .

All in all a very nice day, beautiful weather, even better company! I really do hope that everyone enjoyed themselves.

    Till next time…
