Learner’s+Intermediate Drive on Friday the 13th of Sept.2013

    Day and date : Friday, the 13th of Sept. ‘2013
    Drive Type : Learner’s + Intermediate Drive
    Meeting Point : Khatam intersection on underpass 3 on the Sharjah Kalba Road.
    Meeting Point Co-Ordinates :
    Lat/Lon hddd.ddddd = N25.16668 E55.82608
    Lat/Lon hddd.mm.mmm = N25 10.001 E55 49.565
    Meeting Time : 16:15Hrs.
    Drive Start: 16:30 Hrs.
    Drive Route: Khatam to Faya to Badayer.
    Drive Terrain: soft & tricky dunes
    Duration: 2 hours approx.

    Checklist:-
    a) Ensure your 4 x 4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
    b) Compatible Radio is a must.
    c) Carry all necessary offroad gears, in good condition.
    d) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).
    e) Full Tank fuel must

    Hi Freinds,

    Was away from sand for long time due to long vacations and Biz trips. Will join tomorrow if I would manage to change tyres of my vehicle b4 drive

    If you want original Yokhoma direct from Distributor, please give me a ring; the main sales person in Mussafah- Abu Dhabi is a friend of mine…usually he gives me and my references good prices :), free installation and one free tyre rotation after 10K.

    Managed to change the tyres today with help of a friend who works for Juma Al Majid (Distributor for Yokohama).

    Request to Optimus Prime

    Would request you to consider slightly longer drive duration as in my humble opinion 2 hours ,especially for newbie isnt sufficient.

    I hope this feedback is taken in the right spirit. :ymhug:

    You are right Sundar…these late drives are essentially to avoid the heat…but we will start posting longer drives as the weather improves…which is actually happening now.

    Thanks to all for the drive of yesterday, it was a great fun !
    At the meeting point, i borrowed a talkie walkie to a white prado with inside his father and his son (they were there for the second time and thanks again for the talkie).

    Please contact me to arrange an appointment in Dubai to give you back your radio.
