Any Four Wheel Drive should be ok to drive in sands. Pls check your user manual and understand the four wheel drive button and gears usage.

Also pls check for your recovery points in your car and identify it.

    :)) :)) :))
Saa’d you make it sound as if the Titanic had sunk and everybody was drowning!!!
    =)) =)) =)) :)) :)) :))

Everybody contributes whatever they can and everybody helps each other to learn and explore one’s capabilities…that’s the fun in this sport…
Special Thanks to Humayoo’n and Saif who after finishing their intermediate drive volunteered and came in the middle of Faqaa dunes, that too in the dark, to assist and guide us all back to the tarmac.
Thanks to Razik, Baher, Naseem, Faheem and Kartyk for all the assistance provided in the tricky & difficult drive.
    It was great fun overall!!!

In the end it was actually good fun driving in the dark once the convoy had been properly organized! However, for the second consecutive Friday I damaged a fender on my car #-o

Thanks Humayoon for a fun drive in a tricky area.

Am sure people learnt a lot from the joys of Lisalli and its dangerous sands.

Gordon, fear not, there will be many more scratches to come………………!

Special Thanks for Mr Ahmed for organising such a wonderful drive,
It was the best drive in my small off-road career, I use to think that driving in the desert is fun but I discover that being stuck and helping the stuck ones is equally fun, and I loved it.

Saad, Kartik , please keep on coming ! =))

I don’t mind if you are stuck in the middle of the desert but try not to do this practice in the beginning of the drive :))

    Bahar , I hope you feel better ! ๐Ÿ™‚

Big Thanks to Naseem for introducing all of us to Baha and his new Pathfinder :thanks:

Take Care ! see you guys on coming Friday,

Dubai Offroaders are the coolest bunch of sand lovers…. what a drive it was last friday… :ymapplause:

This is a long post and if you are busy, please come back later to read ๐Ÿ™‚

I don’t know who to start thanking as each and every person who participated in the drive STOOD UP FOR ALL THEIR FELLOW DRIVERS. Though we did so many mistakes and go stuck like crazy, it was an all amazing learning experience. The best part was after the initial tensions got over, everyone started enjoying sitting in the middle of the desert trying to figure out what really is happening.

Thanks Ahmad Sir for giving the final boosting words to all drivers to just keep proper distance and enjoy the drive rather than panicking and getting stuck. So much learnt from this one drive…

Special thanks to Humayun and Saif for coming back to help the convoy out… Really amazing of you guys to come back all the way back… :thanks:

We started off as :drive: then moved to ๐Ÿ˜ฎ and then :-ss and still to 8-} and @-) … finally it was :)) =)) :yesss: and again :drive: ending up with :ymapplause: and :ymhug:

Note: Thanks to the camel convoy for also giving space for us to drive between… Again a learning experience to not mess around with them as they suddenly start running and prove they are the ultimate dune runners ;;)

    Dear Offroaders,

It was a very nice trip, I indeed had a lot of fun. Even though I have been several times off-road, this was my first time with a group like this and truly enjoyed it. :thanks:

Thanks :thanks: for Ahmed bhai for organising such a great drive. Thanks for the guys who came back to help us in the dark and everyone else for being a good sport.

    B-)

See you all soon in the next drive.

    Cheers ๐Ÿ™‚
    Praveen
