Learner’s+Intermediate Drive on Friday the 7th of March 2014

    Day and date : Friday, the 7th of March ‘2014
    Drive Type : Learner’s + Intermediate Drive , 2 separate Convoys.
    Meeting Point : Khatam intersection on underpass 3 on the Sharjah Kalba Road.

    Meeting Point Co-Ordinates :
    Lat/Lon hddd.ddddd = N25.16668 E55.82608
    Lat/Lon hddd.mm.mmm = N25 10.001 E55 49.565
    Meeting Time : 14:45Hrs.
    Drive Start: 15:00 Hrs.
    Drive Route: Khatam to Al Faya, to Al Badayer, time permitting.
    Drive Terrain: soft & tricky dunes
    Duration: 3.00-3.30 hours approx.

    Checklist:-
    a) Ensure your 4 x 4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
    b) Carry an auto air compressor with you and ensure it’s in working condition.
    b) Compatible Radio is mandatory
    c) Carry all necessary offroad gears, in good condition.
    d) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).
    e) Please ensure that your vehicle’s Fuel Tank is full

    I’m getting a walkie talky, tire pressure gauge, rope & shackles tomorrow – is it fine as a starter kit to be able to join the drive? 😀

    That is fantastic and will be all you need to start offroading.

    And with shackles, please make sure they are rated for their purpose as there are many cheaper versions in the market.

    yes nice drive ….learned a lot, I think we need more beginner’s drives so that new comers can like me can catch up with the experts and be confident in doing advanced drives.

    Ahmed…please arrange a few more beginners drives and appreciate your patience with us and team please don’t turn away anyone on beginners drives.
