    Hi Offroaders,
As per the last trip with the offroaders, I’d ike to join the intermediate group as well as the BBQ if still possible?
    Looking forward to it

    Hi Greg

Please register for the trip by going to the first page and clicking on the “Register for Trip” tab. There is no BBQ but interested members can join the camp dinner at one of the safari camps. Ahmad Sb, please correct me if I am wrong.

With regards to the convoy, the lead marshal will take the final call.

I must apologize as I had to withdraw today’s trip at the last minute. My daughter is not well and I have to take her to the clinic this afternoon. I will miss the excitement. Hope to join you all in the next beginners drive.

I would like to thank dubai offroaders for a great drive today and especially saj for leading one of the groups.
Most important lesson learnt…. Make sure traction control is off in the desert … Explains a lot for the problems faced last trip!
See you guys again next time.

It was a nice an easy drive bearing in mind the newbies in the convoy. We picked a relatively easy track from Khatam to the Safari camp site with some side sloping fun thrown in for the members to enjoy.

Bernd did a good job in second lead in his JK :-BD

I am not able to recall the name of the gentleman in the white FJ without the flag. He kept up well with the convoy and had a bit of a sand bath while side sloping due to his open window. ๐Ÿ˜€

Philip learnt a valuable lesson on traction control(LWB Pajero) and did very well after shutting it off :ymapplause:

Ammar has a very nicely done up rig(FJ) with a lot of personal attention, care and engineering gone in to the mods and accessories ๐Ÿ™‚ . He kept a very relaxed pace for his daughter’s sake.

Anand struggled a bit which is very normal for a beginner. He will surely improve by more practice and learning about his car and it’s electro-mechanics :ymhug: . After all he drives the king of the desert i.e. LC.

Andy did very well in his SWB Pajero and is applying his knowledge on practical drives in the sand ๐Ÿ˜€

Special thanks to Naseem for sweep duties and to Faheem for being the moderator on this drive :thanks:

Here is the route map :
