Other than extra fuel what other parts / equipment should we carry extra for the vehicle. We have to be totally self sufficient on an expedition type drive, where the nearest external help may be a hundred Kms. away.
This essentially means carry everything that one may anticipate to be required…
From food & drinks to first aid, full off Road kit, rescue equipment as well as tools to take care of basic repairs/ punctures etc.
Jessil had posted a thread on the forum sometime back, please review it.Confirmed.

I think It will be good if you join us on this trip…Liwa is a different experience altogether.
I am surprised that your Pajero does 230kms. on a full tank…My brother’s SWB Pajero does 500+ on a full tank.
I guess you could always make space for a Jerry can at the back, inside the car, just make sure that the jerry can is not leaking.
That should see you through.
where can i get a jerry can for storing petrol. something like 20 litres. Will the normal blue jerry can used for filling water serve the purpose ?
Ahmed bhai- i was not able to find the article which jessil posted regarding the vehicle provisions that we need to carry. if you just list the most necessary ones, i would be grateful.
i have all the basic recovery tools with me- walkie talkie, tow rope, shackles, compressor, shovel, car jack, wooden blocks.. etc. is there anything spcific to the car that we need to carry like spareparts ?
