Liwa Overnighter Trip on 2nd & 3rd Jan 2009

Trip Desc : Advanced trip to Liwa, not recommended for Newbies.
Trip Date: 2nd – 3rd Dec 2009.
Participants may extend the trip by one more night,since 28th is a holiday, too.
The number of Participants will be restricted to max. 12 cars, since the terrain is challenging.
Total Driving distance will be 900 km approx. from Dubai.
Please make sure that your Vehicle is mechanically sound, check all fluid levels & spare tyre.We will have a Bonfire & Bar be Que at the camp.
Please bring enough food for your self & your passengers + 20% more & carry some wood for barbeque, too.Will need to carry Lunch for 26th & something to Barbeque in the evening.
We will have breakfast in the morning at Hameem at our old spot & pick up something for Lunch on 27th at the same time.We will schedule departure from Hameem so that we are back in Dubai by 27th evening.
Assembly at the Emarat just after Jebel Ali Free Zone at 0845Hrs. sharp, & the convoy will depart at 0900Hrs. Sharp.Please Add your names to the list.

Due to certain other commitments & upon mutual confirmation, this trip is being re-scheduled for 2nd & 3rd of Jan.’2009.
hope more members join for this drive…
this will be the fiirst drive of the year if no one doing drive on 1st of Jan…
due to some prsnl reason i wont b able to make it up……..

I believe the trip is now planned for the 2nd and 3rd of Jan, 2009? Just one query though… Will I be able to return on 2nd night? If we are ending Day1 somewhere close to Hameem, then will it be possible for me to get off to the Hameem road and return the same night?

ZaheerWe will be camping very close to Hameem, so it will be possible to drive back to Dubai.
It will be a 300kms. drive, though.

Whats wrong with you all,its LIWA again and must be great once again.
Why so many people absent from registering on this trip.
I wish I could be there,just got back home after a surgery for an abycess drain.
So need to nurse myself for couple of weeks and more over am away in Pakistan.
So please make this trip a great one too!

I am extremely sorry to inform that I will not be able to join the Liwa trip because of a serious back pain. After checking with the Doctor, I have been advised not to do any off-roading for atleast 14 days, since it is a relapse of spinal problem.
Please accept my apologies.
