Liwa Yellow Truck Trip / 22-23 Feb (Locked)

    Lets go this season to Liwa, to enjoy two days drive and beautiful night sky and camping next to Yellow Truck.
    Its quite popular destination between experienced offroaders to abandoned Yellow Truck.

    Drive type: Fewbie + / Intermediate. 2 convoys, 8 cars each!
    Date & Time: Friday, Feb 22 to Saturday Feb 23.
    Meeting point (for all members): https://goo.gl/maps/gQApVH4yFj52 (approximate driving time from Dubai 2 hours)
    This is last petrol station (Cary with you 20 litres extra jerrycan)

    Meeting time: February 22 at 13:00 (1pm) at petrol station!
    Drive start: 13:30 (1:30pm)
    Drive end: Saturday around lunchtime

    Below is a rough itinerary (to be finalized as we get closer to the event date):

    Friday 22:
    Meeting at gas station and fueling up.
    Drive to Entry Point (deflating, convoy allocation, briefing…)
    Start drive inside Liwa, heading towards Yellow Truck.
    Setup camp a few kms away from Yellow Truck.

    Saturday 23:
    Wake up at sunrise (7am) and pack up
    Drive starts at around 9am
    Lunch break in the desert.
    Exit

    Notes:
    – Your car needs to be in perfect condition. Take it for a safety sanity check before you hit the road.
    – Carry all required equipments (radio, flag, compressor, recovery rope, shackles, deflator, pressure gauge…)
    – Bring all the required food, equipment, wood, lighting, sleeping bags, bbq items…
    – Carry extra fuel. 60 liters would put you in the safe spot. We will not stop by any gas station to refill within both days.
    – It is not recommended to bring kids under 13 years old.
