Drive Type: fewbie+/inter (with priority to inter and above members since we will be having a small convoy of max 10 cars)
Meeting Point: tawi ghadaya || MAP LINK || 24°54’32.3″N 55°44’17.4″EMeeting Time: 5:00pm
Drive Start: 5:30pm sharp!
Drive End: ~sundown
Duration: ~3:00hrsDrive Route: tawi ghadaya – al faqaa (possibly)
Drive Terrain: medium technical dunes, big dunesIT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU CARRY A COMPATIBLE RADIO TUNED TO DO FREQUENCIES FOUND HERE (RADIO FREQUENCIES) PLEASE READ YOUR OWNERS MANUAL AND GET ACQUAINTED WITH THE VARIOUS FUNCTIONS OF THE DEVICE AND MOST IMPORTANTLY HOW TO MANUALLY INPUT A FREQUENCY!! ANYONE WITHOUT A PROPERLY CONFIGURED RADIO, WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO JOIN THE DRIVE, FOR SAFETY REASONS!
Checklist:
a) Keep your emergency contact info at vehicle dashboard.
b) Carry air compressor with you and ensure it’s in working condition.
c) Ensure your 4×4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
d) Compatible Radio is a must.
e) Carry all necessary off-road gear / recovery equipment in good working condition.
f) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).Hope to see you all there for some midweek fun \M/

Unfortunately I won’t be able to join this drive as my ac compressor just died a sudden death. Have fun guys..catch u the next time around!

Great drive yesterday evening! Technical dunes, soft sand, day/night and lots more.. :drive:

It was an awesome drive yesterday. We were a convoy of 10 cars and we kept the pace up most of the drive. We had a prompt push-off at 5:30 and drove until about 8pm. The sand was soft and deep in places so a few stucks and second attempts but for the most part the convoy remained fluid. We stopped at 7:15 for the guys who were fasting to break their fast. By this time, the temperature was really nice with a slight breeze as well. With the sun gone and darkness beginning to set we decided to alter course from Faqa to Sony Ericsson. By 8am we were back on the tarmac and inflating.
The midweek drives are always fun as they are a great way to break up the monotny of the week and are usually quick paced drives. It was another great one and :thanks: to Joe for a great lead and everyone else for great company….and driving of course! :drive:
