Last night was a superb drive :drive: . We met at 8pm and hit the dunes around 8:30. It was a small convoy of 6 cars. It was almost a full moon, which lit up the sky nicely and the temps were a bit on the comfortably chilly side at 20 degrees, which is nice for mid-April.
Joe warmed us up with a few basic manoevers to allow the convoy to get comfortable. The sand was very white, light, and soft ๐ฎ . Combine this wtih our bright LEDs and, well let’s just say visability was challenging at times ๐ . The first half of the drive was very smooth as we criss-crossed back and forth. We saw a bit of wild life roaming about as well. We took a small break near a very old tree and had a photo session as Alex brought his personal camera man along :)) .
We cracked on for the second half of our drive. This is when the adventures started with few innocuous stucks. We picked up our pace a bit but got bogged down in some very soft patches. The recovery of the night was Joe and I both pulling on Francis’ F150 simutanelously to pull him uphill, out of a ditch ๐ฎ . It was a great success that saved us from a lot of digging :ymapplause: .
We finished the drive shortly after 1am i-) . We drove for about 4 hours and covered 50+ KM :ymapplause: . It was a great mid-week break and lots of fun.
Thanks to @joe.zeinoun for organizing the drive and allowing @ZeeNuri and me the chance to lead the convoy :thanks: :thanks: (big difference leading a convoy at night than during day :-ss but it was lots of fun :yesss: ). Also great driving by @alex, @shayi007 and @paskalr1 :ymparty:
This is two weeks in a row we have had our night drive so I think it is slowly becoming a habit :yesss:

Any way, i was lucky that Sasha came to this drive like a passenger and without any hesitation drove my car when i had terrible headache and feel dizzy after while :ymsick: , i appreciate it so much man :ymhug: !!!!
However i got many positive moments and like this drive a lot, Big thanks to @joe.zeinoun
It was epic to watch recovery of F150 towing by two cars! B-)
One more time would like to say that I’m happy and lucky that could join such a friendly, positive, experienced group of people called – Dubaioffroders :ymhug:
Guys, appreciate all what are y doing for us and your patience and professionalism to find right way from different hard situations coming on our way!!!April 20, 2016 at 7:39 am #35645quote matthewficco:Great stuff Alex. I hope you are feeling better…I forgot, you had personal driver too =))Sitting on a chair I feel effect like going up-right, sliding down-left, going up-left, sliding down-right @-)
So, I’m having fun now :))Thanks @joe.zeinoun for organizing and leading such a great trip. Time and weather was just perfect with full moon on our heads kept us on the edge compared to dark nights.
Thanks @matthewficco and @ZeeNuri for sweeping and leading the convoys in between. We had some stuck ups in between and recovering the one on the top of the ridge with @shayi007 FJ was bit technical.
But nothing was more technical and epic to get my F-150 out of the rich =)) I hope someone took video of that :)) Thanks @ matthewficco it was a payback and I owe one to @joe.zeinoun :ymhug:
This area was more technical for me with my F150 long wheelbase, soft sand, small dunes and small ditches made it more challenging and a great learning experience.
Looking forward to see you all on Friday! :drive: :drive: :drive: :drive: :drive:
Cheers!! ๐
