Very interesting drive indeed. At a certain point it looked that we had to ask for help (two winches gone, three big cars in the pit blocking each other, the rescue team quite tired and running low on water) but when everything look bad a good decision to use the rope to bring up a patrol up the pit worked its magic. It was pretty impressive to see Rob pull out such a big car up over a three meter slope sand hill. From there we recovered the rest of the cars in a breeze after more than a 2 hour struggle.
Winching out is good, but we all need to know the working cycle of the device. It cannot run forever -it has its ‘cool down’ period where it just does not work.
Great learning exercise on a very adventurous drive!
Yes, Indeed, very interesting and memorable drive :drive: :drive:
Everyone was tired…we could see the lead sitting exhausted at one point of time 😀
But, in the end Team work won :ymhug: :ymhug:
We should all congratulate each other for keeping cool; despite the scrothing sun.
Rob; you deserve a big hug :ymhug: …ricardo for your extra charm, Gerry for your optimism, Sateyn for being cool and of course big thanks to our co-passengers for their ideas and support.
