quote Ganesh:A perfect Fun Drive!!!!!!!
We all met at the Badayer shops at 5.45 am. Tyn and Ashok couldnt make it for the drive…Tyn had some issues with his car and Ashok with his health….Today lead marshal was G Kumar and the convoy – Ganesh, Gerry, Amjed & Firoz. The drive started at 6.15 a.m. from the deflation point….I was the first car following the lead marshal, then Firoz, Amjed & Gerry as the sweep….the drive started very nicely…Kumar made us experience every bit of our driving skills…
As much as the climate was wonderful this morning, the same was the drive….excellent lead by Kumar :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause: ……The best part was the convoy discipline and the momentum every one had during the drive…
We had some very minor stuck-ups which was resolved in micro-seconds 🙂 ….at one time we had Gerry and Amjed stuck together on a ridge…but were rescued in no time…
Crossing the big dunes with some amazing falls…..in which i had my rear bumper worn out (at last after a long time of 20 drives)….we reached the Iftar bowl exactly at 8.00am where each one of us tried climbing on the top….everyone succeeded atleast twice except myself & Firoz…no issues…theres always a next chance 😀 ….we spent some time at the bowl, had breakfast and then proceeded towards Al Badayer shops..
Overall the drive was very smooth, challenging and just awesome…..We all loved the way Kumar managed the entire drive without any major hicups and worries….
:thanks: Kumar for the excellent drive….
The pics have been uploaded in the gallery as well as on the facebook page…pls do have a look…
See you all for the next drive soon….and good luck to all the evening drive participants and the marshal (Tushar)…
Cheers :-BD
Excellent drive and one of my best drives, specially with 2 stucks and 3 sucessful reachs to iftar bowl, special :thanks: to Kumar for the lead & rescue and the beautiful trace, wud love to join again for such wonderful morning drives. :thanks: for Kumar,Gerry,Ganesh & Firoz for todays drive. :drive:
Thanks and applause to Ganesh for the excellent drive report and great clicks. Comprehensive and precise reporting, nothing more to add from my side :-BD :thanks:
Happy to hear that you all enjoyed the drive. I will say the drive was smooth, could maintain good momentum, effortlessly crossed high dunes and the backup of a wonderful cool morning breeze, which never reminded us that we are in summer. We could stick to the plans and timeframe, just because you all drove very well. Personally, I enjoyed the morning climate and the drive and was very happy to finish the drive at Badayer, sharp at 9am as planned :ymblushing:
Ganesh, you have once again proved that a stock Pajero is at par with any other good performing 4 x 4 in sands. Excellent and confident driving and you were literally tailgating me. So you have finally managed to detach the rear bumper, which was broken long time back (in Liwa??) 😀 I think now you got a reason to go for a proper solution, which will definitely help you to savor next level of adventure. Thank you for the hospitality, you should be now titled as the “Official Breakfast Sponsor “ of Dubai Offroaders 😉
Firoz, all your hard efforts have started paying you off :-BD Very good driving, no stucks , no wrong attempts or maneuvering. Excellent job, keep it up buddy :ymapplause:
Amjed, you are an experienced and cool customer in this off-road business. You drove very well and I could notice reasonably good navigation skills in you, a long way ahead for you bro. Thank you for all the support and good coordination at sweep. Don’t bother much for the stucks, it always part of the game, think about the multiple successful attempts to top of Iftar Bowl :ymapplause:
Gerry, you did a fantastic job and you have tamed your monster very well. Thank you buddy for all the support at sweep. You made it look very easy, by repeatedly taking your monster to top of Iftar bowl, which infact tempted me to do as well or else I wouldn’t have 😉 :ymapplause:
Thank you all once again for the wonderful company and look forward for many more drives with you all in future :thanks: :drive:
