Hello Everyone,
Please note that the nearest gas stations are either on the opposite side of the road 25.183638, 55.719964 or past the meeting point 25.148798, 55.879107 which in both cases are a good 15 to 17 minutes away. So either plan filling your car on your way, or work around your ETA accordingly.
Thank you

BretKHi Bret,
Kindly ensure you have the basic requirements i.e. compatible Walkie Talkie (Radio) with DO frequencies preset on it, or knowledge of how to set frequencies. List of frequencies can be found on http://www.dubaioffroadlive.local/forums/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1454
This is a must to ensure you are able to communicate with the rest of the convoy for your own and your passenger safety. If you already have a flag pole good and well, but if not, its o.k. for the first drive, yet we do recommend having one fixed on your car during any offroad drive. Both items can be purchased at Dragon Mart or at any other destination you prefer. Looking forward to seeing you there.Cheers

Matt, good job and safe leading, :drive:
To conclude this day – nice hot day in company with best group of folks :ymhug:We had a great drive on Saturday afternoon :drive: . It was a bit toasty at the start :-w . We had around 16-18 cars that were split into two convoys. Ajay led the newbee/ fewbee with Greg sweeping and I had the pleasure to lead the fewbee (plus)/intermediate convoy :-ss with the support of Sam as sweeper :thanks: . We had 9 cars in our convoy who all did wonderfully well driving :ymparty: :ymapplause: . We played around the dunes below Fossil Rock before heading up to the top for the drop down the backside :-ss . We then continued on around Camel Rock before our turn back towards Awir. We rode on some nice dunes, which allowed for side cresting and a few small ridges from time to time. Our drive was very smooth and flowed nicely as the convoy drove exceptionally well ^:)^ , which always makes leading easy so I thank you guys. :thanks:
Just before 6pm we took a break under some trees for shade and waited for Ajay and his convoy to regroup with us. This was the exit point for the folks who were not attending the safari camp dinner. The rest of us, about 5 cars continued along the pylon tracks to meet up with Ahmad and his guests just before entering the safari camp. Just as we arrived, the hot button on the weather had, thankfully, been turned off =p~ #-o and we were welcomed by a very comforable desert air for our safari camp experience. After a bit of belly dancing ๐ฎ and flame throwing we had a great feast. Around 8:30 we packed ourselves up and continued along the Awir Desert Expressway :drive: towards the Awir shops to inflate. It was a great day/evening to round out the long holiday weekend!
A big thanks to Ajay :thanks: for organizing the drive and to Ajay and Ahmad :thanks: for organizing the safari dinner!
A massive thanks to everyone in the drive who drove so well and made it very pleasant :thanks:
