Would be nice to end this drive at the lakes near bab al Shams as the starting point is not very far from that.

Thanks a lot again guys for a great drive! Especially to Duncan, joe and saif… :thanks:

We started at al ajban road and were warned that this was a tricky part of the desert due to the softness of the sand which could be dangerous if not handled correctly. 😮
What we didn’t see coming (excuse the pun) was the fact that we couldn’t see anything throughout the drive. :-B We were having a hard time, but poor Duncan leading did a fantastic job… Hats off to him!!!

Considering we had a mix of drive levels we took the drive slowly at start so the levels could be assessed… There were some beautiful long dunes allowing for slide sloping – as long as was safely possible and the occasional chance to crest some bigger dunes for those that were up for it.
It’s a great confidence builder to be able to have that opportunity to progress. 😀

On one of the dunes whilst slide sloping it was possible for two cars to have a total of three pop outs…. Don’t think we saw that coming… Must have been something specifically with that dune… After quickly fixing we moved on. Thanks for your help and patience. :ymhug:

The rest of the drive went smoothly as far as we could see…
Lesson learnt always drive in the direction in which you can read the sand clearer!

    Now I’m off to buy a jack… B-)
