New/Few Bee Friday PM drive on 16th Jan 2015

    Drive Type: New/Fewbee Drive

    Meeting Point: 24.716623, 55.620491 (google maps)
    N24 42.598 E55 37.138 (GPS users)[map]24.71703,55.62085(Al Faqa Mosque – Meeting Point)[/map]
    Meeting Time: 2:00 pm
    Drive Starts: 2:15 pm sharp

    Drive Route &Terrain: Side Sloping, Ridge Riding, Cresting, Big Dunes, Technical Dunes

    Duration: 3 hours (sundown)

    A New/Fewbee drive level convoy. The drive starts from Al Faqa and shall finish at nearby exit based on drive performance.

    Hope to see you all there for some friday fun.

    Please read the following and register for the drive:-

    Checklist:-

    a) Keep your emergency contact info at vehicle dashboard.
    b) Carry air compressor with you and ensure it’s in working condition.
    c) Ensure your 4 x 4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
    d) Compatible Radio is a must.
    e) Carry all necessary off-road gears / recovery equipment in good condition.
    f) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).

    Hope its ok to come along =)
    just joined this group, been out on the dunes a few times with the car the past weeks and hoping i can learn more by driving in a bigger convoy

    Great line up guys. Looks like the sweeps will have their hands full in recoveries.

    But luckily Sanjay knows every dune in Al Faquaa.

    Joe was the main man of this drive. We couldn’t make it without his amazing air pump.
    Note: we all should ask Joe to fit his custom made air pump into our cars. I will book a slot of his time next month.

    in fact, what made this drive joyful and successful was the great teamwork we all did.
    it wouldnt have been possible to manage and guide 20 cars through the desert without it.
    thanks to sanjay, baher, anas, ayman and all others who were always there to help and support in guidance and recovery.
    well done guys 🙂 looking forward for more fun drives with all of you.

    Great to know that you guys enjoyed yourselves and worked as a team to help each other. This is what offroading is all about :ymhug: .
