What better way to bid farewell to the passing year and welcome the new year in the lap of nature???
Experience the thrills of the Golden Sand Dunes and witness spectacular views of the sunset and sunrise…the morning after…during your visit to the the desert.
We will have a bonfire plus some nice recorded music for entertainment.
You can opt to have a Barbecue, some hot Coffee or the flavored shisha or just enjoy the solitude of the whispering sands, as you wish.
The night is very cold with minimum temprature diiping to mid single digit…degree centigrade !!!
Warm clothes with head protection are a must to avoid the chill PLUS tents, good quality Sleeping bags and blankets are a must for your comfort for the night.
Please bring your own food and drinks as per your requirement, plus 1 bundle of Wood per participant is the contribution required for the communal bonfire.
Meeting time 2100Hrs.
Meeting Place Tawi Nazwa Shops (10Kms. after the Lehbab Round about on E44, Dubai Hatta Road).SUGGESTED EQUIPMENT FOR CAMPING:
water for drinking and washing, wood, charcoal, First Aid kit, lighter or matches, knife, torch, basic tool kit, tent, sleeping bag, foam mattress, rubbish bags, pan, crockery, cutlery, tissues, cool box with ice-blocks, food and drinks and the essential equipment for off-road driving.ENVIRONMENTAL NOTE:
By preserving the environment and treating it with respect, you will not only increase the chance of discovering wildlife, but also sustain the environment for you and others in the future. It is crucial to stay on designated routes while driving. Although it may be thrilling to find your own way through the rocks and sands this might not necessarily be good for nature. When camping, make sure that you take everything with you and leave no sign of your presence behind. Do not use any branches or wood from nature to make a campfire as they are also part of the ecosystem of the area, and often form hiding places for reptiles and other animals.

:-w :-w :-wDecember 31, 2011 at 5:38 am #15162What & Where are the options for an indoor party?
It is cold…that is true…but how many days do we get to experience the cold in Dubai ???
we just need a bigger bonfire and we will be fine !!!It is only the below 3 years old that need to be really protected from the chill & it may not be a bad idea for them to avoid camping.
December 31, 2011 at 7:32 am #15164The venue for new year camping has been shifted to the Fall, so we will all meet there at 2100Hrs. as I believe the atmosphere will be nicer at the fall as well as more accessible for those who want to join later or leave early.
The co-ordinates for the venue are N25 05.655 E55 47.435
We will just need to carry as much wood as we can carry to counter the cold !!!
Please call me if you have any clarification/s, See you there then. -
