Hi all, I’m a newbie to your off-roaders group – a small bit of experience in the sand, but of course no king of the hill for me!

Thanks guys, that was a fun drive. Our guest, a German lady living in Kolkata, really enjoyed it! Can’t really do this thing anywhere else than in the UAE, I would think.

:drive: Well, what a pleasure – my wife Amal, baby Celina & I had a fantastic time today with everyone involved. Great to meet all of you and will join you again for sure…will bring buddy or two as well.
Really, I learned some great tips along the way, the journey was interesting and the perfect 4X4 trip for us newbies! Of course I want more, but within time and upgrades willing…new trip levels will be enjoyed.
Special thanks to our Marshals today whom without them we surely would not be as safe and will not enjoy their wisdom.
Thank you Ali for welcoming my family to your off-road family! :thanks:

It was a pleasure to meet you all guys… and hope you all had good fun :-BD
The convoy started moving in sand at around 3.45pm and headed to pink rock. On the way the convoy was joined by Tushar and Satwinder. Drive terrain was mainly on tracks for the newbee. Hope everybody enjoyed the drive with Krishnan in lead car with Ali.
At pink rock a new convoy was formed which headed to Al Badayer under the lead of Satwinder. Convoy screening was quite interesting 🙂 Satwinder set a target for screening – those who can cross the ridge shall join the new convoy at the other side of the dune 😉 Thanseer, Satwinder, Tushar, Sidhara, Myself & 2 Jeeps (apologies guys – I dont know your names) were the convoy to Al Badayer. We had couple of mild struck ups on the way and also offered some tools for a range rover which was idle due to certain mechanical issues.
We spotted few police patrol on an unknown mission at the exit point to Tarmac from Al Badayer which promoted us to abort the original plan to hit tarmac. As a windup drive, we drove all the way to Nazwa via sand – tracks and small dunes. There were couple of good jumps in this part of the drive :ymblushing: Spend some time at Nazwa for refreshments and headed home by around 7.45pm.

Sorry to say it was real fun driving today. At the pink rock myself and Ashok were little aggressive in driving rather than taking snaps so we missed the signal came from Satwinder. Though myself and Ashok hit the tip of ridge few times and came down playing but never knew that there was new convoy othwerwise we would have joined especially i would have joined.i felt like joining u guys after u explained me the drive.. Anyway its a bad luck for me…Finally i enjoyed the drive today..
Truly a great drive enjoyed by my wife binaifer and myself. excellent explanations and guidance given at each step by ali and sam. needless to say all the encouragement and pulls by the other experienced drivers was always appreciated.
