few other noteworthy observations:
– Not ALL cars had the minimum recovery gear. in fact it was fun to watch the face of some of the participants when they got stuck and were requested to pull out their rope. As if, we were off to Zabeel park for a BBQ party. Grow up guys, Off road driving is a serious business. Please do not play with your safety. Next time, such participants would need to inflate back at the deflation point itself ๐ .
– Few others carried unrated ropes and shakles. I hope they would do some shopping before the next trip.
– In between, two participants chose to leave the convoy and draw their own line because they wanted to have a “little fun”. Unfortunately one of them was crested very soon. They were humble enough to realise their folly and thereafter were in good convoy discipline. Thanks for your understanding.
Marshalls and other Staff: We need to take care of above and enhance the level of pre-trip briefing.
just as a suggestion – i need argumentation if not right
Only registered convoys should be taken to the trip, I dont know the reason why they are not doing it inspite of having a damn good website
Then i would suggest the marshals have a conversation, atleast with the newbies through the phone and make sure they have the necessary items, so that it would also save time at the meeting point.
I would request that we should start at the given time, even if all the people have not turned up, because last time it was less time in the desert and because of lack of time we did not take care of the smaller things.
So…. people i am open for argumentation for the above made statement

I fully agree with you Navin. Hopefully the problem of unregistered participants will get resolved when we the the proposed trip registration module on the website.
In any case, we need to become firm at some point of time and need to start taking tougher decisions also.
