Offroad Drive on Friday the 20th of December ‘2013

    [map]24.74153,55.80102(Meeting Place)[/map]Day and date : Friday the 20th of December ‘2013

    Drive Route : Al Swaib to Iftar Bowl (Badayer possibly depending on time and convoy speed)

    Drive Type : Newbee/Fewbee with some intermediate driving areas along the way!!! This is an area with very soft sand dunes that tests the driver’s technical driving skills – should also be a new route for most of you.
    Meeting Point : Al Swaib Petrol Station

    This is the only petrol station in Swaib so easy to locate. I have included the GPS and google maps coordinates below. The drive is about an hour from Dubai so please leave early enough to arrive at destination ahead of time for briefing and convoy allocation, especially if this is your first time trying to find the location.

    Please make a note of my mobile: 050 950 1988 (call me for any assistance)

    For those of you that wish to observe prayer times, the best location for this is the ADNOC at Al Faquaa (N24 44.517 E55 48.081) on the Dubai Al Ain highway. Swaib petrol station is then about a 15 minute drive from that location. (towards Al Ain then left)

    Meeting Point co-ordinates :
    Lat/Lon hddd.mm.mmm = N24 44.517 E55 48.081 (for those with a GPS)
    Paste this to google maps if you don’t have a GPS: 24.742018,55.801105 (print the map if you can)

    Meeting Time : 1330Hrs.
    Drive Start: 1345Hrs.

    Drive Duration:Till sunset
    Drive Terrain: Tracks and Dunes

    All Senior Members and Marshals are most welcome to join.

    Please carry enough water and food stuff for yourself and your passengers. Make sure your car is in good condition. Your car must be equipped with front and rear towing point and with the necessary Offroad Gear.

    Nice route with soft sand and lot of adventure.. Basically for new drivers will be a testing ground..

    Hi Duncan looks like a good trip if it was a morning drive I’d be there but my youngest is arriving at DXB in the afternoon and I gotta be a good dad and be there in time, have fun on your :drive:

    Not sure, if I can do this due to the afternoon timings…a nice route…
    Hope another drive on the same route will be posted for a morning drive….
    Can we have some morning drives tooo…a humble request..

    Hi all, Just registered for this trip 🙂 very excited about it. I’ll be coming with 2 or 3 other people in my car 😛 should be a very fun day hehe
