Drive Start: Friday Feb 9th at 0830
Drive End: Saturday afternoon February 10th
Duration: 2 days 1 night
Drive Route: We will drive all offroad from Al Qudra to the Abu Dhabi Mangroves and reach our campsite near the auto museum. On Saturday we will drive offroad back towards Al Ain before heading back to Dubai
Drive Terrain: Sand, tracks, sabkhas, and whatever else we may encounter

This is our first trip of Project UAE Grand Tour Overland

Join for a nice overland trip, camping trip which will help us get prepared for the upcoming Omani Empty Quarter crossing. We will drive on moderate terrain crossing from Dubai to Abu Dhabi then to Al Ain. You should have a fully prepared and serviced vehicle with all of your recovery and maintenance equipment as well as your camping gear and food. For those looking to join the Omani Empty Quarter trip, this would be a good opportunity to learn from others what they have for gear and how they pack and prepare for multiple days overland trips.

Checklist:
a) Keep your emergency contact info at vehicle dashboard.
b) Carry air compressor with you and ensure it’s in working condition.
c) Ensure your 4×4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
d) Compatible Radio is a must.
e) Carry all necessary off-road gear / recovery equipment in good working condition.
f) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).

Hi everybody. In case some of you haven’t been informed yet. Due to unavailibility of the members organizer (Matt and Shamel) this drive is postponed to a later date.
