Hey, I would like to extend any help required as my truck bed is almost empty. Happy to help transport any camping equipment.

Same here… I can help transport equipment if people need it… I also have 2 jerry cans I’ll bring in case someone does run out of gas… Don’t think my raptor will need extra gas

    Hi Ashraf,

I was planning to buy new cans next week. If you do not need, may be I can borrow your can and fill gas at the entry point. After Liwa I dont think I will need one anytime soon, what say

We will be doing a circuit of about 250kms. where there will be access to a Petrol station and some basic supplies prior to the commencement of the second day’s drive.

There should be no real requirement to carry any extra Petrol except for vehicles with very small tanks maybe wranglers and drivers with a heavy right foot…a combination of these 2 conditions might require more than a few Gallons!!!

People who have experience of Camping, can you suggest some Tent and bed for 2 people? Just keep in mind, I may not use it again for a year or so till winter starts and we plan another Liwa drive.

Vijay tents range from about 40dhs to a few thousands.. If u remember seeing mine for one of the night drives was bought from ace for about 200 u can find them there and in carrefour etc too. Same goes with sleeing bags there are various choices available and u will find them in either of the shops. Dont spend too much on them since u wont be using it often!

    See you on Friday! :drive:

You can also buy a Queen sized Intex inflatable mattress, once inflated this keeps one away from the sand which might get cold overnight and gives a very comfortable surface to sleep upon even if one is camping in Wadis which might have rocks or pebbles. Do not forget the air pump required to pump up the mattress, though.
