The Drive will take Place IF, Friday is not the first day of Ramadan and there should be atleast 3 confirmed cars by 9 pm on ThursdayPlease note that by signing in for the trip you understand at this is a dangerous hobby and You are Solely responsible for any incident.
Please bring enough water and all tools.
Drive estimated time is 2 hours. however there may be un expected delays.
The Drive is Still ON (If Tomorrow is not First day of Ramadan) , there should be atleast three cars, and if you are confirmed then it will be OK,
Dont worry about leader, I will lead, and I think Vinu is competent enought to Sweep.
Infact there is not much sweeping requried in 4 cars, Sweeping is absolutely necessay when it is a big convoy.
Please make sure you are there at meeting point.

The meeting point is still the pump right. Is this the same petrol pump we used to gather for the anniversary ?

A very good trip and surprisingly the weather remained amazing until the very end of the drive. The trip started late with only Wrangler and Humsafar reaching at the meeting point at the posted time. 30 minutes later we were on the road towards Kalba to enter the desert from the 3rd interchange. We had a newbie (not registered yet) Wrangler’s friend accompanied us for the drive and I must appreciate that both the drivers Khizar and Owais performed really well in the whole trip despite a few stucks.
The drive started at the first drop of morning light and the cool wind welcomed us into the bushy desert at the start of the drive. Soon the dunes started to clear out of bush and the drive became a pleasure. We reached Fossil rock with a couple of stucks but the convoy performed admirably otherwise. At the top of the Fossil Rock it was a surprise to see that most of the sand is washed away by the winds and the pass has a lot of rocks visible making your vehicles to rock crawl for the last little part. After the pass the view as always was breathtaking with the sun rising with glory. We came down and continued towards Camel rock. Ahmed bhai offered his LC to drive by his cousin (guests from the US), who did well but the LC got stuck a few times after that. The weather was still not bad and we had crossed our alloted 2 hours of drive but no one seemed to be tired or in rush to go out of the desert as the cool wind was still blowing. After Camel rock we climbed towards some high dunes and had a bit of adrenaline rushing through our spines. Finally reaching the Saddle point for a short play time.
We all decided to move out of the mighty desert as it only permitted good weather to prevail until 9ish in the morning. We were out on the road with in the next 30-40 minutes.
All in all a wonderful drive – one of the best one in recent months. Very well lead by Ali – Bravo!
We had more or less 10 stucks and one pop out (on Humsafar’s pathy), but all of the hurdles were handled surely and swiftly. There was only Wrangler out of 5 vehicles that didn’t get stuck in this whole drive. Stuck of the day was Ahmed Bhai’s LC sliding down from the ridge and getting stuck badly in a very small bowl. With the rising temperature some wild ideas were tried before applying the basics, those worked.
I’ve named this drive as “Rise and Shine with AA” (Ali and Adeel).
Cheers!
