    Day and date: Friday 23 June

    Drive Type: Fewbie+

    8 (Fewbie and Inter) plus any Advanced that would like to support up to maximum of 12.

    Meeting Point: Will create a Whats app group Thursday evening with location.

    Entry requirements (Marshals decision on the participating Fewbies):-
    – this is a Fewbie+ drive. For Safety I will only add Fewbies that I have driven with before and personally know they have sufficient skills.
    – 8 spaces will be filled on a first come first served basis out of Fewbies and Inter.

    Drive Meet: 5:45 am (Approx 45m from Dubai)
    Drive Start: 06:00 am
    Drive End: 09:00 am
    Duration: 3 hours
    Drive Terrain: Sand

    Checklist:
    a) Keep your emergency contact info at vehicle dashboard.
    b) Carry air compressor with you and ensure it’s in working condition.
    c) Ensure your 4×4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
    d) Compatible Radio is a must.
    e) Carry all necessary off-road gear / recovery equipment in good working condition.
    f) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).

    We had a great drive today. We started at Nizwa and followed the dunes along the Sharjah/Dubai Fence before cutting across to Iftar Bowl. From there we crossed Superbowl and headed towards Sony Ericsson. The drive had a bit of everything, side cresting, ridge riding, tight technical turns and bowls. It was nice to drive with 2 new early risers Yohan and Rob who both showed they were more than capable on the challenging route. Many thanks to Alex who swept and Philip who was second lead. See you all soon.

    Great drive Simon, it was interesting to take one of our previous route backwards. :thanks:

    I am getting too soft #:-s or the weather gets too hot for my liking – I decided to wait until it cools down a little so that neither car nor driver get sunstroke in the scorching heat.
    Summer holiday approching as well so see you all in September!

    Big thanks to Simon and the rest of the guys, one of the best drives I’ve had for some time quick paced and lots of fun. I’ll be out for the next one!!!
