What makes this drive Special?

I am posting this drive early so that you have time to ask any workers/cleaners/security persons etc that you know if they would like to come on a dune bash. This person will have probably never seen the desert before and will be thrilled with the prospect. To make it easy for your passengers you should pick and drop them off at their accomodation.

Day and date: Friday 22nd March 2019

Briefing: 07:50 Please get there in time to deflate, attach your flag pole and be ready for a 07:50 briefing
Drive Start: 08:00
Drive End: 10:30 – 11:00

Drive registration will close when convoy size is reached or Thursday 3pm – Calls and messages after that time will be ignored.

Drive Type:
Fewbie (nothing more as I am expecting cars full with passengers!)

Convoy Size:
2 convoys of 8, maybe more dependent on Marshal Support

Meeting Point:
Will create a Whats app group with location (please make sure your profile phone number is correct on DO website)
Drive start and finish point will be within 1 hour of Dubai.

Etiquette:
1) Don’t sign up and not turn up – your stopping someone else from coming. On limited spaces drive you won’t be added If you have repeatedly flaked in the past.
2) Drive will start on time. Don’t moan if the convoys left without you or message me that your running late. Your choice (a) turn up on time for the drive, or (b) don’t sign up and have a sleep in like normal people.

Checklist:
a) Carry air compressor with you and ensure it’s in working condition.
b) Ensure your 4×4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
c) Compatible Radio is a must. You won’t be allowed to drive without one.
d) Carry enough refreshments for yourself & co-passengers.
e) Have an off road flag properly attached to your car.

Morning Folks,

i would like to applaud Marshal Simon for this warm initiative to show some of our hard working blue collar friends and colleagues the beautiful desert landscape which most of us offroaders take for granted during our weekend expeditions.

In case some drivers are keen to participate but dont have a friend to bring, i have a group of around 8-10 colleagues but unfortunately can only accommodate 3-4 in my car.

It would really make someones weekend if some other drivers could help out with this initiative
