this is not a :drive: report, as their are a few good reporters amongst us, David being one and Duncan’s sister also has a full photo record hopefully to be posted 😀
What this is, is a :thanks: to Marshall Humayun for posting, organising and leading the drive, (Humayun had member DVG, aka David, riding shotgun)
a :thanks: to brothers of the sand: Shabeer, Fida (official sweep), Saj, Rein, Razik, Syed (roaming sweep), Duncan & sister, David, MHC, my friend Musbah (2nd Lead), and Wasi & cousin, who I am reporting here was on time even 2 mins early 😮 , although he did have to fill up so that made him late in the parking…sorry Wasi but it’s true 😀 ( :thanks: for actually eating the 1 week old cake 😀 )
The convoy set off into the flat lands of Lasili and exited at the Al Faqaa Adnoc, fun was had by all, we had a few rescues, Musbah the winch came in Handy :thanks: Musbah, the winch and my friend 🙂 No level of driver was spared the pain, excellent devious route, through technical short dunes.Marshall Humayun found us a nice flat not bowl to play in :thanks: for the fun, before we got back to business of ‘JUST FOR FUN’ :drive:ing for the route out :ymhug: .
Daylight , or the lack of it, precluded further adventure, and we retired to the air fill line with just enough time to allow everybody to follow their own schedule for the last bit of the afternoon.

Wassi Bhai…You will enjoy watching but I urge you for your self safety not to fight gravity at all. You are excellent driver and picking up the skills very quickly … all the best brother

Yea but my experience against gravity was a thriller but my prompt action saved me…. #:-s

Thanks to Marshall Humayun organising and leading another fun drive, which was full of excitement all the way thru. Although the intention was to do some 70km stretch, but due to time limit it ended up to approx 37km of driving thru tricky slopes, dunes and bowls.
Thanks to Musbah (2nd lead), Sayed and Fida (sweepers) who provided assistance, instructions and encouragements to all us drivers and making this drive a safe one. Thanks to all my colleagues who participated in this drive.
The convoy set off from Lasili and exited at the Al Faqaa and it was fun filled. We had a few rescues where in Musbah’s winch came in handy.
The drive was enjoyed by all and everyone had their share of fun. Well done guys for making this drive another fun and ended up safely. See you all soon in the sands again. Be safe.

Thank you Humayun for a tricky drive across the Al Lisaili and Al Faqa dunes. Thank you Syed bhai, Musbah and Fida for your recovery and support work.
It was fun to see Syed Bhai sitting on a ridge and guiding cars through the other side and Humayun asking him on the radio if he is crested and will self-recover or require recovery :))

Drive started with initial slip by YJ :ymdevil: to a bowl, with Fida’s directions we recovered within no time. Then the real story begins as the path was leading to soft sand with tricky bowls capable to peel off the bumpers & to put the drivers in trouble…There was stuck after stuck with most of the members, All recovered by marshals & sweep. :ymapplause: Route was full of high dunes, Side cresting, Top cresting, Slide sloping, Back slopping (if you stuck this will come in practice)…Later on we reached the play area as recovered from cresting by the Jeeps… #:-s All played nicely but gravity was pulling down the off-roaders….. :ymdevil: :ymdevil: Due to time constraint the journey cut-off to the nearest exit. But the Journey to the unexpected world will continue…Special thanks to Fida, Humayun, Aemi for the lead support & sweep. :ymapplause: :ymapplause: It was gravity filled drive :D. Since the jeepers are at the tail of the convoy the full view of the trip didn’t achieved….Jeepers need wings O:-) O:-) O:-)

Hey Guyz…had a good time yesterday with the convoy selected by Humayun yesterday…BIG THANKYOU going out Syed Bhai, Fida, Musbah for a nice job keeping the drive fun and safe at the same time…looking forward to more drives with you all…till then HAVE FUN AND DRIVE SAFE.

Just a small report of the drive.
I think all were on time except for few cars re fueling in the gas station took our some time.
But yeah after deflating pt. we entered the soft sands near to the flat surface(may be safety concern).
The convey was just one with Fida as sweep and Syed bhai as sweep in charge which was again professionally carried away by both.
There were few stuck as usual due to the soft sand, where i got stuck in a small bowl which was recovered by our second lead Musbah bhai (Winch man of our convey)…What power does tat winch has uhhhh B-) ..
Further we got many tricky soft sands area where momentum with distance was very essential. Then we also got many sharp ridges to cross over which was completed safely by all..
Then finally for the short break after the big ridge crossing, Syed bhai found time to have his lunch with a delicious biriyani… :p and me too for my buddy’s Brian treat of Pie wit “DO WASI” written on it…Wallahi man it was delicious and a must needed snack… :thanks: for the concern my friend… :ymhug:Upon our marshals command to play around on the dune…all started to drift on the slide.
I made many attempts and in one of the attempt i went against the gravity with perfect momentum but its nature of GOD and it dint allow me to mess with it..for a second i felt something s wrong and i went along the gravity with the timely guidance of Syed bhai… :thanks:But yea overall the drive was planned to be a long one, but turned out to be a short and one of the best one…
